On the 19th day, of January 2021, I hired Talon Insulation to remove and replace the insulation under my doublewide manufacture/mobile home. In 2020, Hurricane Laura tore several holes in the insulation and some of it was soaked. We decided to get some information on applying "CLOSED CELL" spray foam insulation instead of the fiberglass batting type. After speaking with, ***, owner, of "Talon Insulation", we felt this would be an upgrade for our home. Our insurance company would only pay us the cost of repairing the damaged areas with the fiberglass batting type. We paid out-of-pocket the difference in price because, ***, owner, of "Talon Insulation", assured us this was a superior product. Here we were, (10) ten months later/October, and we begin noticing the floors in the dining and utility room are feeling soft and uneven. We thought there was a problem with the house being unlevel or something like that. So, we called in a leveling company to come and check the levelness. When he showed up to look at the house, I showed him what was happening with the floors. He checked the levelness of the house and found it level but noticed the spray foam insulation had separated from the floors joist and attaching structure under the house. (Please see attached pictures) We contacted "Talon Insulation", and spoke with ***, owner, about the issues we are having and sent him the photos. *** assured us he could take care of the problem and would be there on Sat/Sun to fix the problem. We called them several times throughout the day, they answered one (1) time saying "They were one their way and NO ONE EVER showed up. The following week, they finally answered through VIA-Text, and set up a time on the following Sat/Sun, to fix the problem and assured us, he would show up. We cancelled our plans and waited ALL day. NO ONE answered our calls or texts AND once again, NO ONE SHOWED UP!! Now the floors are even worse, and we don't know what to do. I am asking for help. All we are asking is for "Talon Insulation", to repair the spray foam insulation and fix the floors that are soft and buckled.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/06) */ We were contacted by Mrs. ******* to look at the insulation damage from the hurricane. Mrs. ******* advised that she thought there were "soft spots" in the flooring and had *** take a look at the spots underneath. We advised her that underneath the trailer must be dry prior to installing the insulation. Mrs. ******* insisted the insulation be installed ASAP, even against our advice to wait. We have spoken to her to about repairing the insulation that pulled away from the wood under the mobile home, and that is something we will do. When we scheduled to go to the house to make repairs we had several issues with our equipment leaving both of our foam rigs out of commission for several weeks, and we were unable to go to the house as planned. We have seen the photos and sent them to several of our advisors and technicians who install foam insulation. We have been advised that there is no way that the buckling of the floors was caused from the separation of the foam to the wood, there just simply was not enough time between when the foam separated and when she reported the floors being damaged. The sub floors as we advised were too wet and therefore when the foam was installed it caused moisture between the foam and the floors. Talon is still willing to repair the foam, however the floors buckling was not from our doing. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/01/18) */ ***Document Attached*** Let me begin by saying, how appalled I am by the false statement made by Mr. ****** & Talon Insulation. To be clear, I asked Dr. ****** to make sure there were no areas on the substructure of my house while he was there to give me a quote to repair the damaged insulation left by Hurricane Laura.. Mr. ******, assured me that he would look and let me know, because the moisture level had to be less than 16% for him to be able to install his foam insulation, as stated in his Quote. (See Attached Quote for supporting Documentation) I NEVER mentioned "Soft Spots" in my flooring, because there were NO "Soft Spots", until the insulation, that Talon installed failed, leaving my floors damaged and my house in worse shape then Hurricane Laura did. In response to the statement made, about Mr. ****** having "Equipment Trouble" and could not show up for the appointments that he scheduled, (as per text provided in the attachments), Mr. ****** said, he was going in the hospital. He said, he would let me know after that. After two weeks went by, I texted him to find out if he knew when he would be well enough to come correct the job and he made the scheduled date to be at my house to finish. I never pushed him while he was doing the work. I never asked him to cut corners and do poor work on my house. After my floors started buckling, from his poor insulation, I did stress the importance of getting it repaired before things got worse. In conclusion, I can see by the false statements, made by Talon Insulation, that their business practice are just like their workmanship, poor and full of holes.
