We were guests of a wedding party at the resort April 21 and 22nd, 2023. Earlier in the planning process, the group had been informed that their entire room block I’ve been canceled. With a legally binding contract and the assistance of an attorney, the resort did agree to reinstate a limited number of rooms. Upon arrival, we were informed that one of our confirmed rooms was no longer available. That individual had to make alternate arrangements despite a confirmed reservation. Another individual checked in for two nights. The following day he received a phone call from Angela, the hotel manager, informing him that his reservation was for only one night and that he had 15 minutes to remove his belongings from the room or have the local police do so for him. Upon investigating, it appears that this treatment has been perpetuated at this resort and occurs on a regular basis. It is a disgrace to have this sort of business operating in our state, and as a reflection of our hospitality. It was emotionally distressing, and cast a shadow on what should have been an otherwise festive occasion, completely avoidable, if the business or operating with any degree of integrity.
