I signed up to take a course online. Saturday march 23, the day of I went to log in 30 minutes ahead of the start. They had technical issues and I was not admitted into class until 15 minutes after it had started. To me this was too much missed and to really get the information I would have to set aside a different day to take the class so I asked for a refund. At first they declined but then later agreed to give me 4.20 back as a partial refund. And they also claimed that I somehow registered incorrectly and that it was my fault that I couldn't be admitted into class on time. On Monday I called the ***** and learned that this organization is not even registered with ****** and can't provide national certification for continuing education to acupuncturists in the US.Business response

Greetings, I am happy to respond to this complaint. A little background is that the way our website works is that participants in online classes must create a free account in order to access the classes.
I would first like to respond to *********************** statement that she entered the class 15 minutes late which is untrue. Ms.*************; was delayed by 10 minutes (see attachment "late email"). I would also like to point out that this was a three hour class and that the first 10 minutes consisted mainly of introductions and contained very little substantive material.
The reason for that delay is that when Ms. Buchanan first registered for the event, it was clearly indicated on the registration page that she must create an account on our site in order to access the class, additionally a link was displayed prominently on the page which directed her to an account setup page (see attachment "account required").
Two emails were sent to Ms.*************; (and all other registrants) in the 24 hours before the class to make sure that she would not have any trouble accessing the class. On those emails were instructions on how to go to the event page and where to get support if they had trouble accessing it (attachments "reminder1" "reminder2"). ******************* did not respond to either of those emails.
Lastly, ******************* applied to get continuing education credits for the class. She passed the required quiz and credits were applied on her behalf.
For these reasons we feel that it is not reasonable for ******************* to expect a full refund for the event.
best,
***********************
