Our experience with Arlington Auto and Tire was less than satisfactory. After AAA dropped the vehicle off at 4pm, we were given an estimate of ******* to replace the fuel pump on July 3, 2024 by some woman around 5:45pm. I told I her that I would discuss this with my husband and contact them shortly. She informed me that the shop closed at 7pm and she was off the following day (July 4th) someone else would be in with contact us in the morning. Which they were, with a new estimate of $1,789.00 for the same job.We informed them that this was not the original estimate and we were not comfortable paying that especially since it was almost $800 less just yesterday. The person who called us stated that he understood and would not touch our vehicle until the person who gave us the original estimate was back at work and could verify the estimate. On July 5th, 2024 we received another phone call from a different person who said that they reached out to the person we spoke to originally and that she never said that to which we responded that is untrue and you could put her on the phone to which they responded that she is out sick. At that point, they reiterated the price of almost $1800. So we informed them that we will be sending AAA back for the vehicle and their response was, that they had already removed the fuel pump. I told them that we did NOT give them a verbal or written consent to remove the fuel pump, especially because we could not agree on the price but, because the fuel pump was removed they said that they would be charging for it since it was labor. So essentially we were strong armed into getting our car worked on! Their business practices are UNETHICAL and now they are telling us that our car wont be ready until 7/8/24. I will say that they did come down on the price which is 775$ (which is the normal rate for a fuel pump job) the experience was adverse at best . If there is something wrong with our car after this incident just know that its their fault.
