I made a new patient appointment with a cleaning and exam under nitrous oxide, and I paid into an in-office discount plan that includes two cleanings as well as an additional fee for the nitrous oxide. ***************************** made me extremely uncomfortable, and she found several cavities despite an exam six months ago from another dentist finding no issues. I signed a treatment plan acknowledgement that is non-binding, and I was told that I could call to cancel my appointment within 48 hours of the date. I put down a $100 deposit to reserve a follow-up appointment with the understanding that the $100 goes towards the total cost of the work to be done at the future visit. I decided to look into ********************************* background, and I found one-star reviews that were disconcerting, including one that states she misdiagnosed oral cancer. I called the office and explained that I was not going forward with the fillings, and I requested to be seen by a different provider at their location due to these reviews. Office staff called me back to state that the owner of the practice is referring me elsewhere (I did not accept the referral as I have a dentist back home) and that I will be refunded for the additional cleaning under the plan and the $100 deposit fee for the nitrous oxide and future appointment as they will not be cleaning my teeth or treating me going forward. They sent over two incorrect bills, one of which states I owe $100. When I called the office, I was told that I do not owe money and am due a refund amount. Several phone calls and emails have gone unanswered from the office, and I still do not have the correct billing statement that lists the total amount I paid and the total refund amount. I am seeking a transparent, comprehensive, and correct billing statement from this practice that outlines all out-of-pocket-expenses and the amount that will be refunded as outlined above. I've attached emailed receipts from the day of my exam showing how much I paid.

Hello ***********  We saw your complaint and reviewed your account.  We did see that you put a $100 deposit and after reviewing online records, you decided to cancel the appt.  We had refunded you the $100.  Please see attached receipt.  We do not refund things that we have done (no service provider would ever do so).  You came in for a dental cleaning, xrays, exam and Nitrous oxide.  You paid for this under our membership plan.  If you want us to refund the plan then you would owe us more as you got the discounts for the services rendered.  We have sent you the statements of the work provided and payment made (with discounts).

Was charged $2180 for dental work that was not needed. I had temporary crowns on two teeth that were removed and placed with another set of temporary crowns as well as a imprint for crowns when they knew that would be useless after required gum surgery would change the shape. This was fraudulent there was no need to do this work before the surgery and now I’m left with two oversized temp crowns that are damaging my health.

      Hello *****,

We treatment planned #**, 31 as priority.  We worked with you on re-phase treatment so you would feel comfortable. You paid for phase 1 , #** and 31 crown preps. This was needed before Dr. ***** would be able to treat her for crown lengthening.  You were aware that you would be charged $600 per prep and temp and it would be credited when she returns for the crown impression (not final).  You came back to do the crown impression and we did not work.  You were upset that you had to come back for the crown insert, but this is how most H31353234313937****32H offices do work.  Inserts are done at the end.  Just because you decided not to come back for the insert would not make us refund the balance.  We paid for the full amount for the lab work already.  I recognize that you have a new work schedule, but we are open on some holidays where we can still finish the work.  We will not be able to refund as we have already outlaid the cost with the lab and they will not refund us once it has been shipped.  This is customized work and not something they can just take back and give to someone else.

Please note that we only charged for core buildups and temp crowns. We have a signed treatment plan for this.
