Paid in full to have my fathers gravestone engraved with date that he died and small picture of him affixed to the stone. Owner stated work would be done mid November, 2021; spring, 2022 then end of June, 2022. He hired a stone cutter 6/13/22 explaining that work would be done by the end of June and I was offered a discount for waiting so long. As of 7/10/22, work remains undone.Business response

Due to manpower issues, we are running behind schedule on many jobs, including this one. Our newly hired employee was not able to start working here till just a few days ago due to a personal medical issue. We expect it now to be a few more weeks to get him onboarded, and up to speed on the equipment to get this and other jobs completed. This is a new venture for us, and we have been overwhelmed with cemetery work given the pandemic, and that another local provider closed down, creating additional demand. We fully intend on getting this job and all others completed this summer. We can also offer a full refund for the job, if the customer wants, but we will not be able to offer a firm completion date at this time. Cemetery lettering is a highly skilled job, and we cannot rush the process, as doing a poor job means that we would potentially have to replace that family's gravestone. Our sincere apologies for not being able to complete the job in a timely manner, and also for not effectively communicating our delays.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I will follow up with a review of the company upon completion of the work. While I appreciate the offer of a full refund- that is not necessary. The family seeks closure and are awaiting the engraving so that a gravesite service may be held.
