4/22/21 I picked up my 2021 iron 1200. 4/27-4/30 I returned to Sheldon several times for a wobble at highway speed n low speed turns. Only explanation given was that iron 1200 is not a highway bike, that my salesman was new and placed me on the wrong bike for highway use and tried to have me upgraded to a bigger bike. After hours of being at the dealership and horrible trade in offers I left w my iron 1200. 5/1/21 I returned to Sheldon's for the same wobble. Tech verified wobble and said it was caused by weight of bike lock in my front bag that was attached to front fork/triple tree. Tech also found excessive play in throttle cable. Bag was removed and throttle cable adjusted. 5/7/21 I returned yet again to Sheldon's for same wobble. Tech found tire to be 0.50oz out of balance. Tech rebalance tire. 6/16/21 I returned to Sheldon's for other services and to have wobble looked at again. I was told there was nothing wrong w my bike n it's just not a highway bike. At this point I'm convinced I just bought the wrong bike. 8/9/21 my triple tree bolt came completely loose causing me to temporarily lose control. I was able to gain control by grabbing my front forks at the same time slapping on my rear brakes. I injured my right hand, right foot and my bike has slight scratches on my exhaust, foot peg n front right side fork. 8/10/21 I returned to Sheldon's frustrated and furious. I was told manager Robbie T. will contact me. I explained my situation w Robbie who had no remorse and only response was what do I want him to do. I asked to be placed on a new bike, one that is safe to ride or to buy back my bike clearing me of my loan along w my deposit of $4,000 back. Robbie decline my offers and told me there's nothing him nor Sheldon's can do. I've asked several time to speak w the owners of Sheldon's but yet to hear back. It's now 3/12/22 riding season in New England approaching and Sheldon's has yet to left a finger in helping me. They haven't even looked at my bike since.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/24) */ Contact Name and Title: robert t******* Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ******************* Zico w******* arrived at Sheldon's looking for a motorcycle. the only bike we could get him approved on was the new xl1200n. we explained the approval process and that with consistent payments his credit should improve giving him a larger selection of motorcycles in the future. Zico then purchased then sportster and immediately started making modifications to the bike on his own, including adding a radio and relocation a speedometer. both of these modifications would immediately affect handling of the bike. He changed the handlebars and added led lighting which fried his battery. these modifications obviously voided the warranty on the bike. without a warranty and all the haphazard modifications made the motorcycle unsafe. when Zico approached me at the dealership, my technicians were leery of riding the bike at first and then couldn't duplicate his wobble after removing the excessive weight off the front of the bike. to help zico out we looked at trading him out of the bike, and we could not get an approval from the bank on the bike that he wants. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/03/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) On may 1st 2021 I was told my 5lb Harley-Davidson disk brake lock that was place in a bag attached to my front fork was the cause of my wobble even though my bike is designed to have a Harley-Davidson front pouch to place belongings. However I did remove it and continue to have wobble. Robbie is now stating my modifications made my bike unsafe n his techs leery but I didn't start modifications until early June after turning down every terrible trade in offers n all attempts to have wobble fixed failed. And being convinced by Sheldon's that my iron 1200 just wasn't a highway bike which caused a wobble. I did looked into different methods to help. I removed my front flaring which did help. I then purchased a batwing flaring in hopes to block the wind and hopefully help w my wobble. In order to fit the batwing flaring I had to install a speedo relocation kit. It did a great job blocking the wind but actually make my wobble worse so I removed n sold it returning to no flaring as this was the only thing that seemed to somewhat help so far. Before my June 16th appointment I added a Harley-Davidson swing arm bag, Harley-Davidson led light, Screaming eagle slip on exhaust and bluetooth speakers. On my June 16th appointment I had my screaming eagle intake & tuner installed. After receiving my bike the tech over tighten my battery terminals causing a loose connection. A battery was replaced free of charge. I never fried or had a fried battery nor changed my handle bar as its still the original factory bar. I was never told anything about a void warranty as this is the first time hearing about a void warranty. Why wouldnt it be mentioned until now after this complaint? I didn't return to Sheldon's until August 10th after my bolts to triple tree came loose. Later that day I was contacted by Robbie who along w Sheldon's didn't take any responsibility of neglecting to fix my bike. It is clear as day that the loose bolts were the cause of my wobble since day one and my bike was never probably prepped despite paying a prep fee. I did purchase a gold member maintenance plan but would rather not return to Sheldon's. My maintenance plan is none transferable so all future maintenance has to be paid again at a different Harley-Davidson. BBB is my final resort to a resolution before seeking legal action. I'm hoping to a out of court agreement. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/04/04) */ I feel Sheldon's at the very least need to refund my prep fee of $972 due to my bike not being properly prepped, refund my maintenance plan of $1060 due to them not fixing my bike and me now having to pay out of pocket for service I've prepaid for, and also pay for a different Harley-Davidson to do a safety run through of my bike. Im not asking for much any believe I'm being very fair considering the situation.
