I had a very poor experience with a bathroom remodel. They set an expectation that it would take about 6-weeks, but it took almost 6 months from start to finish. The general contractor provided very little oversight over the sub-contractors and in many cases did not proactively address significant quality issues with low quality sub-contractor work. In most cases, the general contractor did not even review the work of the sub-contractors and put 100% of the responsibility to review the quality of work back on the customer despite having hired the general contractor for exactly this service.I received very low quality tile work, which needed to be redone several times it order for it to be installed correctly. A simple example of low quality tile work is when tiles were actually touching leaving no room for grout lines. Not only did the tile vendor do low quality work, the general contractor did not detect or address until I pointed out the poor quality, and then instead of just addressing it, they created a very complex situation trying to create a narrative that my quality expectations are out of line. No, tiles should not be touching, that is objectively wrong and due to not using spacers during installation. I would have been satisfied if they just acknowledged the low quality work and had it fixed, but instead they needed to argue about it first. There were Numerous other smaller issues where work was represented as complete when a quick glance was sufficient to see it was not right. Another simple example was wall paint on tiles. General contractor partially corrected at first but needed me to show all the locations where paint was on the tile before they would correct instead of simple examining it themselves and correcting. All in all, I am happy with the final result, but the experience of working with this company was very unpleasant. They did not perform the oversight of sub-contractor part of their responsibility. I do not recommend them.
