Shop did a replacement on the steering rack it was not finished they gave it back to me in that condition asking for payment so I paid they told me to bring it back and continued to say the issue wasnt related to them, the steering does not work properly and there are now 14 fault codes showing.Business response

Customer got the car towed down on August 4th due to non start and a power steering fault assist error (as customer wrote on the key drop envelope). We inspected the vehicle and found electric steering rack inoperative, checked for power and ground as well as CPU control to steering rack. It has all signals and is not working. We had to start by replacing the rack. We called the customer and explained that was a backorder for a new rack and the dealer did not know when they would be able to order it. Customer authorized the replacement with an used rack. We installed the used rack and it was functioning normally but there is an intermittent steering light for steering angle sensor range. We were not initially able to drive the vehicle due to no steering and will need to diagnostic at a further time. After customer picked up the car, she complaint that the car had fault codes, we requested the customer to bring the car back to the shop. We inspected the vehicle and explained that the fault codes had nothing to do with the rack. We are sorry about this situation and will be more than happy to assist the customer with any problems about the part that was replaced on our shop.
