This company charged $70000 for a siding job. They made a mess and left my soffits the original color. They wanted to charge me an additional ******************************************************************** door then asked for it back. There's black paint spatter on my stairs and they did not clean upBusiness response

The customer told us that we followed the contract to the letter when we finished. He knows that he didn't need to replace the soffit and at point of purchase decided not to pay for it. Once the job was complete he didn't like the look of the soffit and wanted it to match the house. He refused to pay for replacement and we believe this was the correct decision. We offered to recommend a painter who we trust but wanted us to paint it. We are not a painting company and would not paint the soffit. I am not sure why he wouldn't just use our referral and get it painted. I agree that the soffit doesn't look good but it is in perfect shape and doesn't need replacement. He is upset that we wouldn't go outside the agreement and do something extra for no charge. It really didn't have to come to this but he demanded in writing that we never set foot on his property again so he will have to find another company to do any warranty work on this project.Initial Complaint

Coastal windows installed different windows than what we're originally ordered.I did agree to this as they said the other windows are of equal quality. The windows were installed early October 2022. These windows were the wrong size, difficult to open and the locking mechanisms on two of the four windows were broken. I was told that a different set of windows were being manufactured and will be available for installation on 2/2/23.It's now 2/23 and I haven't heard from Coastal windows since.Business response

They installed skylight window in 2016. It started leaking in 2021. I have been trying to ask someone come over and fix a problem. Till now no one showed up. The leak is damaging my walls, as can be seen in the attached photos.Business response

The customer had a one year labor warranty that is expired. We gave them the contact information for the skylight manufacturer. They need to contact the manufacturer and file a claim. We don't do repairs and the manufacturer will direct them to someone who does.Customer response

No information was provided to us. Yes, we were told that it is a faulty unit. But never told gave us information. In fact we are told they will contact the manufacturer.
Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.

We purchased windows and siding from this company. The windows they put in don't close and don't fit. They have replaced a few of the windows and they still don't fit. They stop replying to phone calls and emails.Business response

The manufacturer has agreed to re-make the entire window in question and they will be re-installed when they arrive. This took time to accomplish because the manufacturer refused to re-make them and we had to escalate this to a higher level. The manufacturer invoice for the re-make is attached.
