      I had been using LastPass for years successfully. Until yesterday.Here is what happened:I tried to login with the master password that I KNEW and have used three thousand times. It didn't work. OK, maybe I had a typo. I tried variations. None of them worked. I tried account recovery. It sent me the **** I verified, but it always brought me to an error screen that said the lastpass extension wasn't installed in my browser. (It was.)After more failed attempts, I became locked out of my account. Next, I discovered I was not allowed to access tech support at all without being logged in. Out of options, I created a new account. I COPIED AND PASTED THE NEW MASTER PASSWORD so there could be NO MISTAKE. This should work, right? I started trying to set it up my new account, including verifying my email address.When I was prompted to enter Master Password to verify the email address, USING, REMEMBER, THE CORRECT MASTER PASSWORD I HAD COPIED AND PASTED, IT SAID IT WAS INCORRECT.Well, fortunately I was still logged in in another window. I was able to call tech support. The lady was very nice but warned me she would not be able to provide tech support unless it was a paid or trial account. Thankfully the new account had a free trial. We proceeded.She tried to walk me through the account recovery, only for me to encounter the same bogus error message that the extension was not installed. It was both installed and logged in. She said she had to contact the security team. I was forced to answer extensive security questions about my brand new account. Fortunately this was easy, if time consuming, because my account was still open and I had literally just created it. Even after all of this they could still do nothing for me. They kept telling me my master password must have had a typo and I must be entering it wrong. Remember, I copied and pasted it to make SURE there was no such possibility. I told them I was no longer a LastPass user and hung up.

      I recently tried to change my master password in LastPass and when I did that, I could not sign in at all. I was on the computer for almost two days going through LastPass suggestions for recovery and nothing worked.I finally got on BBB just to find a phone number (none are posted on the internet). I had to call the sales department only to be transferred to customer service. Once there, they were able to revert my account back to the original password.Why don't they post a customer service phone number? It is wastes so much time trying their suggestions which do not work.

      Ive been a Premium LastPass customer since 2014. Recently, my account shows me as a FREE user and Im unable to change the setting back to Premium. And worse yet, LastPass on my iPhone stopped working because it says my trial has expired. I'm also unable to access the LastPass ***************** because the system sees me as a FREE vs PREMIUM user.My annual renewal is automated through my credit card. I paid my annual renewal on October 18, 2023. It took forever to find a way to contact LastPass support. I advised them that I'm frustrated with their support and security breaches, so I wanted a refund and cancel my subscription. LastPass says they never received my payment, which isn't true.I would advise others to steer away from LastPass for security management.

      My account has been closed for over a year, but I'm still being billed an annual subscription. Because my account is closed, there is no way to log into the support system to open a new ticket. There is no working phone number to contact the company. All phone numbers I've tried have led me back to the online support system, which I cannot access. I am now being forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I would look elsewhere for a password manager.

      Continued struggles to login on any Apple device - contact them and they tell me the only way to utilize is to reset the account and lose all *********************** that have been saved in the vault. They offer no assistance whatsoever and are rude to the point of making the call contentious. When asked to speak to a supervisor for a refund I am put on hold for a tremendously long time as an almost battle of ***** - run from this company - do not do business with them unless you enjoy getting ripped off.

      Last pass app on iphone is a joke. Constantly having issues logging in. Does not recognize email and/or master password. Recovery email was set up and now it says it's not. So sick of this company. Cannot get in touch with anyone over this issue. They will take your money but will not offer support of any kind. Will be cancelling and switching to another asap.

      I have been a paying customer for years and they used to be great. But now they have taken away all phone and email support. Their automated system locked me out and I now cannot get to any of my passwords - several years worth. I've tried their recovery process which fails. I've tried my master password (I've been using the same one for several months, so I know it is not incorrect) and I get a non-descript error on the login screen. At this point I'm at a loss and unable to get work done. I cannot fathom a company being so arrogant as to provide no method of supporting their paying customers.

      BEWARE! The company stole my debit card number from my vault and charged me for a year of service that I did not authorize. I won't do business with them anymore.

      We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your LastPass service. However, I can assure you that LastPass did not access data within your vault to obtain your payment card information. This is not even technically possible due to our zero-knowledge security model. Encrypted vault data is encrypted and decrypted at the end user device level using a unique encryption key derived from each end users master password. End user master passwords are never known to LastPass and are not stored or maintained by LastPass - which helps ensure that no one has access to the encrypted data stored in your vault, except you. Not even LastPass.

      Instead, it sounds like your subscription was simply set to auto-renew. Upon renewal, we work with payment card processors and financial institutions to maintain current billing information to ensure there are no interruptions in service for our auto-renewing customers. This is specifically referenced in Section 2.1 of our Terms of Service (We may charge any payment card on file or bill you for all amounts due for your use of the Services, including any fees or overdraft charges incurred in collecting payment, and we may take steps to update your payment card information (where permitted) to ensure that payment can be processed.). End users who do not wish to auto-renew always have the ability to turn off auto-renewal from within their Account Settings within their LastPass vault.

      They don't offer any advanced support for free customers - only the ** chat bot that doesn't understand it's own prompt responses such as 'yes' and automated account recovery options that are supremely buggy. My Edge browser extension kicks me out whenever it feels like and then logs me in whenever it feels like, which means I have intermittent access to IMPORTANT passwords. Trying to recover or reset my password does not work. The links are broken or buggy, the website throws irrelevant errors such as not having required fields filled out on a page that has no fields to fill out. And again, literally NO way to contact their support unless you upgrade to a paid account.Save yourself the grief and use ANY other method. Giving your password to that handsome Nigerian prince that needs a few grand is more useful because at least you might have a record of your communication.At the very least, my passwords are so secure, not even their creator can access them.
