      I hired ************************* owner and CEO of Time Perfected Construction *** in April 2021 to perform various interior/exterior renovation on my 3 family owner occupied home at **************************************. Renovations included - plumbing and electrical upgrade throughout the house including basement - full demo/renovation of bathrooms/kitchens on all 3 floors - demo/replace front/back porches - remove/replace all rotted floor boards on all floors, basement stairs, acoustical ceilings (which were on 2nd flr only) and walls - paint all 3 floors including front/back hallways - repoint walls in basement - repair/sand/finish all hardwood floor etc. ************************* informed me that *************** will be completed within 4 to 6 months and all occupants are required to move out of the premisses during renovations. To date (11/05/22) none of the renovations have been completed. ***re's no electricity in the front/back hallways/various rooms in each apartment/basement - Electrical panels are left with wires hanging out - Electrical wires hanging in basement - *** post on 2nd floor porch is adjoined by 2 pieces of lumber held together by a bolt with huge gaps between lumber- *** lumber used on the front porch has slits/huge cuts in them - Shower width on 1st/2nd flr is not standard. Plumbing/flooring/bathroom/walls/stairways/basement not done - Wire from 1st flr burner was illegally hooked up to 2nd flr for heat. I'm homeless having to stay with friends/relatives. My parents (who lived on the 2nd floor) 79 year old mother and 93 year old father were also left homeless and having to stay with family members. My father who passed away unexpectedly in Nov 2021 lived in his home for over 40 years died worrying about not being able to move back to the only place that was of comfort to him. My mother still remains homeless to this day relocating from one offspring's house to the next. My sister and her children who lived on the 3rd are still homeless due to *************************' negligence.

      The client is not stating the facts.  I was told to talk to the brother who lives in ******* and that he was managing the project. I was told to send the all correspondence to him regarding unforseen work . He was not very polite and told me he was a contractor just not licensed .They became very combative when i requested we revisit the contract and i was told no and that everything was standard. i requested a  in person meeting with the client and her brother to do a walkthrough He stated he was coming and never showed up in the meantime i continued to work thinking he was going to come . He stated to me that he had come on several occasions  however they never contacted me and if he did i was on the job site. i made them aware of the price hikes on materials as well as labor being in the height of Covid as well as the the city was requiring them to install sprinkler system which would have cost them an additional 30k . I fought on there behalf without even a thank you.There was a major roof leak which i made them aware of . They did nothing so i repaired it myself to continue to keep work going. I have photos and documentation to support my communication  with them and also witnesses to how they were treating the workers and sub contractors with belligerent words and behavior . I ask the brother to please call me in order to discuss moving forward and he did not. I did not abandon the job they changed the locks without notice or communication. The contract states the work to. be performed excluding the unforseen work and all specialties that they requested example custom stand up shower bases, insulating all exterior walls to pass inspection, Installing all new drywall on ceilings, halls and walls.

      No where in the contract it states to demo all walls and ceilings as well as trim work which i did my best to work them however no one was willing to to come and do a proper walkthrough or inspection with me . the sister would always tell me to talk to her brother who also never came to the project. 

       

      I have signed permit for all work including for unforseens that were address but not paid for. Plumbers installed 2 new hot water tanks and did not get paid because

      they called and threatend him as well..

      Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered. 

      The submission to of my complaint was all based on facts The contract that was signed with ************** was done during the highest point of the Covid Pandemic in April of 2021. There was no reference of a price increase or any unforeseen work mentioned in the contract and or by word of mouth by **************. My brother, ********************* can also attest to that fact. Myself/my brother was never rude, mean, or combative towards ************** and or his crew. In fact, ************** was the combatant who yelled, screamed and used profanity including calling my brother an A**** on various occasion while we were on conference calls. In fact, on the numerous occasion ************** came in town to view the work he has never met ************** as he was not on-site the 1st visit and the house was closed up on the 2nd visit. ************** is extremely explosive and sometimes apologized for his action and would blame his behavior on not having taken his pills. Furthermore, the only contact that ************** had with any one of ***** crew was the plumber who he worked with amicably to resolve the issue of the hot water heaters that were in excellent working order prior to the start of ************** work but mysteriously ended up having to be replaced due to damages of some sort. The renovations were to be completed within (May 2021 Nov 2021) 4-6 months however, whenever a deadline came up ************** had excuses and used deception as to why deadlines were not met. As for the roof, yes ************** informed us of the leakage, we then contracted a licensed roofing company ********************* of ********************* Roofing in August 2021 for the repair, and we have paid invoices to prove that fact!  In fact, ************** original proposal included the roof, but we declined and had him draft a new proposal excluding the roof! When ************** presented a roof damaging scenario and tried to have us redo the contract to include the roofing we declined again and advised him we would take care of it!  We chose not to inform ************** of whom we used to repair the roof, due to his deceptive practices; but frankly if ************** or his crew was on the job he would have been aware, as the company made several trips to the home!  Case in point, November 2021 when ************** promised us that there will be more progress on the work. Instead of fulfilling his promise, he sent my brother pictures of the kitchen wall on the 3rd floor that he claimed had to be demolished and rebuilt due to water leakage from the roof. I myself went to the house that same day within 3 hours of the pictures being sent. On arrival there was a crew member on the porch using a saw, I asked if ************** was there and I received the usual response of he just left to get something from the store. I then went directly to the 3rd floor kitchen where I saw minor water stain/marks on the wall that was now dried along with a controlled damped area in one corner of the wall that to me was clearly staged. I proceeded to go the 1st floor where there were 3 members of ************** crew, I asked the person that was painting if he knew anything about a leak on the 3rd flr and he said no but to ask another gentleman that was in charge that day. I proceeded to ask that gentleman and he stated he was not aware of a leakage that day and or wall being demolished/rebuilt. How can a wall be demolished/rebuilt without the worker being aware of it and done within the few hours where the pictures were sent and me visiting the house, plus no sign of wet paint or wall compound!?  As for my brother coming to the house, that was done on 2 separate occasions whereby ************** was not on site nor did he respond to any of his phone calls. The work that was done was shoddy. The material being used is less than adequate (Plywood used for window/door frames, no vents in the laundry room etc.) The 1st floor porch was set on fire, which I believe was done by accident by one of ************** crew member- my money was also stolen the same day which ************** blamed on the Fire Fighter who bravely put out the fire before it could spread. ************** later repaid me the stolen money as he later felt remorseful. Theres a host of infractions committed by ***** and his crew. As for the reference of money I paid ***** $26,000 in Dec 2021 all while grieving the death of my father as he stated h*** try his best to complete the 1st   floor before Dec 2021 but to no avail. In Feb 2022 ***** informed us that he needed $10,000 of the last payment that was due per the contract as he was behind on his mortgage and in jeopardy of loosing his house plus his crew was demanding higher wages due to *****. This again was another excuse for not having completed the job, as he promised yet again that all 3 flrs would be done by March 2022. Keep in mind that reno per the contract should have been done in 4-6 months (May 2021 Nov 2021). Ive exercised time and patience with ***** but 1.5 years later my home is in worse condition than it was prior to start and me/my family are still homeless. So far other contractors are not willing to complete another contractors shoddy workmanship.

      In all my years of business i have not ever had a complaint due to the fact that i have always given more than what the job required and always have been fair and transparent in my business affairs. As stated on my first response the client handed over all correspondence to her brother that lives in ******* . The client did not want to discuss the contract or any of the added extras and unforseens i was told to talk to the brother which i  included in my 1st response. As he  stated they were not willing to pay or discuss the unforseens and further more i requested time and time again for a meeting to do a thorough walkthrough  and i was told he was coming in order for him not to ever show up. 

      The project has done major harm on my mental frame of mind due to the fact of lack of civil communication and constant threats from members of the clients family who would come to the job and yell and scream at the workers. 

      I tried numerous times to accommodate  the client however they were never satisfied . We installed wood work and trim just to be told to take it down. We painted trim work just to be told it was not good enough take it down and replace it is what we told . That was not on the contract as with many other things which i included in my 1st response.

      I have included references and character references in this correspondence that will show my business acumen .

      Furthermore  it was the client who who stopped communicating and changed locks on all doors without warning or notice.

      As previously stated Mr. ******* ***** has left me and my family homeless for the past 19 months (from May of 2021 to now December 8, 2022). His inflammatory allegations of threats being hurled at him and or his wokers by members of my family are all lies and part of his deceptive practice. Mr. ***** contends that he installed wood work and trims only to be told to take them down. This is partially true as only 10% of this work was complete. He was asked to remove it as he used plywood for the trim, the frame on a few doors and windows. The other 90% of the this work is not yet done. We informed Mr. ***** that we were willing to pay for real wood but to no avail and the plywood is still sitting there. The windows have no frames, doors are unhinged, radiators are detached, walls are closed up without openings for the thermostats and dryer vents, there are huge gaping holes are all over the building, no electricity in the basement and front/back common areas and various rooms in each apartment. the front porch is unfinished (the 2nd floor porch had 2 pieces of wood held together by a huge with huge gaps in between), substandard wood was used with slits in 70% of the wood. The list goes on and on.  Mr. ***** claimed that we refused to discuss "unforeseen cost and added extras" but he had never discussed any such matters with us or pointed out what those cost were. There was no addendum to the contract nor was there any "added extras" except for the electricity which I paid an extra $1,000.00 due to Mr. *****' negligence and forgetfulness. The contract had clearly stated that the electrical upgrade must include ceiling fans (yet the contract that Mr. ***** signed with the electrician that he contracted to do the work did not include that detail). Please note, to date the electrical upgrade has not been completed.  The only other reference of money that was brought up by Mr. ***** was when he stated that he is not making a huge profit from the job being done as his workers are demanding hire wages due to Covid. He was also demanding $10,000 of the last installment as according to him he was behind on his mortgage. Mr. ***** had severed all communication with me a long time ago and I changed the locks on my doors only after Mr. ***** had removed all his equipment along with the Permit from my home. He left garbage (debris, hardened paint, tires, floor stains etc.) all over the house, the front and back yard, I have refrigerators that have grown molds, missing grills from my brand new stove, stolen money as previously referenced (but repaid by Mr. *****) furniture that was left out in the element, furniture with a lot of debris that was not covered during reno. The list is unending. You or anyone else are welcome to visit my home to verify the horrendous conditions that Mr. ******* left behind.Thank you in advance.
