      I have had the same experience with this company as others have noted. I wanted a rollover. Was told it would take 10 business days. Every time I speak with anyone, they direct me to my old employer. Which I did and they filled out approval forms for the rollover. I still do not have my funds deposited in my new 401K. IF you are considering **** Hancock. RUN!!!

      I have 401k with **** Hancock and submitted a withdrawal request on June 11, 2024. I was told that I should receive my check in the mail in one week. Following week went by and I did not receive my check. I called **** Hancock and I was told that they are just now completing my request and for me to call them in a week. Another week went by, and I still havent received my check. I called **** Hancock 5 times, and each time they were saying they had already mailed the check and I should be receiving it in 5-10 business days. On June 30, I was informed that they can issue me another check and cancel the first one and it was all approved by their manager. It will be expedite and I should receive it by July 3. Todays date is July 5, 2024 and again I had to cal them because its almost a month and I still havent received my money. I was told that their manager approved the request on July 3 and its scheduled to be mailed overnight, and give them a call on Monday. Today is Friday, and I should receive it tomorrow Saturday, why do I need to call again?. They keep telling me BS!!!**** HANCOCK IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY ! DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!

      Took over half a month to get my money out of their acct and when I DID get finally get it, it was 8% short BEFORE taxes came out!Thieves!

      I recently switched companies and had to roll over my 401K. I also took a disbursement with the roll-over. I completed the forms online with a rep and was told it would take up to 10 business days. I called this morning (it has been 12 business days) and was told that nothing has been done . I've never had business with them before and after today I won't ever again. I will remove the entire amount and go elsewhere. I figured i would receive professional help but was sadlt mistaken.

      Terrible customer service. My mother has long term care insurance and they wont pay out. Keep coming up with excuses.

      Ive been with **** Hancock since 1995. When I had to roll over my 401 to an *** they handled everything and it went smoothly. Ive called them to help with starting distribution from *** and they have been very helpful. Ive never had a bad experience with **** Hancock.

      Worse financial company. Holding my money for over two months with no explaination. **************** is the worst. People arguing and attitude with me for wanting my money wish i read these reviews before contributing

      The WORST customer service you will ever receive. The most incompetent people that have no desire to help. Trying to get my 401k transferred from my old employer to an IRA ******* at Fidelity - this has gone on since March and it is now June and I am still no further in getting anywhere. According to Fidelity, they didn't code the transfer correctly saying what it was for, and all they need is a letter from **** Hancock. The rep I spoke to refused and said they can't do that. So my funds are stuck now. Total nightmare. RUN from this company.

      I have been working to roll over my 401k for over 2 months now, and have filled out the same form twice now (and another form once). Each time I have completed the form while on the phone with a customer service rep, as many of the sections were convoluted. All 3 times I received different instructions, and all 3 times the end result was my check being sent to an incorrect address, including my former employer I have explicitly told **** Hancock I do not want contact with throughout this process. I have been promised update emails and calls, none of which were followed through on. Since at least 1 of the request resulted in a check being pulled, my money has also been out of my account for the entirety of this time. There needs to be serious retraining of all customer service, how can you expect your clients to fill out your forms correctly if your own staff members dont know how to? I would strongly recommend a personal 401k before wrapping up your time and money in this service.
