MY DAUGHTER GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH A ***** DRIVER WHO HAS LIBERTY INSURANXE IN **************. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED AT ***************. ************** ON JULY 15TH. THEIR DRIVER IS THE ONE AT-FAULT AND THE ***** LIED SO NOW LIBERTY INSURANCE HAS DENIED MY DAUGHTERS CLAIM. SO HER CAR IS ****** UP AND CANNOT EVEN GET FIXED. LIBERTY MUTUAL IS EVIL. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO NOBODY. STAY AWAY FROM LIBERTY MUTUAL INSURANCE. BEWARE DEALING WITH THIS COMAPNYS SHADY PRACTICE!!!Review from Sherry R

Its been 7 months since filing my claim for a flood in downstairs. My policy. Is up for renewal. I can not leave because claim is still open. My policy went from 1300 a year to 3400 a year. I am in my fourth adjusterReview from Taylor H

We decided to move to *******************, WV in July of 2019 to restore a historic landmark to her former glory.On July 14, 2023 a major storm blew through *******************, WV and caused widespread property damage due to the hail and high winds. It took us an hour to get to our house, passing all the emergency personnel along the way and dodging all the debris in the streets. We contacted our insurance company immediately to relay all the damage. They responded a week later only to say that due to the high volume of claims, an inspector couldnt be out here until mid august, almost a month from the storm and from initial notification of damages. The inspector spent a total of 15 minutes assessing the damage. He said it would take a few weeks to write up a report. Meanwhile our neighbors all had work already completed by that time. We waited about a month before we were assigned an adjuster named ******************. He asked us to get a quote for the work. We submitted a quote and waited another month. He said we needed a more itemized estimate. We did so and another month passed by. We were then assigned a new adjuster named *******************************. He closed the claim saying there was insufficient documentation of damage. I spoke with his supervisor ***********************, who reluctantly agreed to reopen the claim and send yet another inspector to the house. A different inspector came and was surprised at the extent of the damage and the time it has taken the insurance company to resolve the claim. We were then assigned a new adjuster named *************************. I had to explain everything and submit all the documentation for the third time. Then he vanished and we were assigned ******************. After submitting all the documentation and explanation of damages for the fourth time, this adjuster denies the entirety of the claim and notifies us on the 21st of December as she goes on vacation to avoid any follow up. The state had to get involved to resolve this over a year later. DO NOT USE LIBERTY MUTUALReview from Terry K

They just merged with State Auto and increased my policy premium from $900 to $3,900! Stay away at all costs! They blindsided me with "sign here" e-docs, and I found out a day later that they had done that. I went to **** and received a quote for $800 for the same property!Liberty Mutual Group Response

Liberty Mutuals Safeco is an absolute nightmare. I write this as they have continued to take zero action, and make constant excuses. Meanwhile my home is rotting, mold likely growing, becoming more and more unsafe. Want to talk to a supervisor about your adjuster not doing a **** thing and not taking you seriously? Good luck. Everythings automated and you cant speak to a person thats not your adjuster. How they are not sued into the ground for putting their customers safety and health at risk is bananas. Should not be in business at all. I am no further 21 days after my house flooded than I am the night it happened thanks to their negligence. Avoid at all costsLiberty Mutual Group Response

Never get insurance through Liberty Mutual. Save yourself the headache. Just like everyone else My husband and i shop around for insurance for the best rate and what can fit into our budget. Our sales agent ****** (TJ) Gave us some additional savings for bundling and the rate was locked in for a full year. After the sales call and finalizing our insurance was done, Before we got off the phone i asked if anything else needed to be done, he told us no and were all set and to download the app. (for ID cards etc..) Two months later we get a threatening letter saying they are canceling our insurance for failure to responding to a "underwriting" claim. No email, text, app notification, zero communication. I called customer service, spoke to a rude agent that just kept saying we sent it, and there is nothing we can do except rewrite your policy. I stated i will not be paying more as we already paid in full ($1800). She transferred me to the rewrite team which went over all of our same coverages before, and wanted to charge us a additional $450. I was outraged. When i asked to speak to a manager they said one will call me back in a few days to go over the information. Three days later I get a call from *******, who was the rudest, hostile, and ignorant. Not only did she keep repeating the same thing over and over, She talked over me interrupted me and has zero customer service skills. I asked her to start the refund process of the leftover insurance money, She stated that can not happen until i have a different insurance provider. So basically holding my money, I said im not paying for a service i did not receive and will dispute the charges and report to the BBB and she hung up on me. I will never give our hard earned money to this company again. PLEASE do not get insurance with them.Liberty Mutual Group Response

I had a very minor dent that hit and ran in May that I chose to not follow through on with the claim and LM went and sent a payment out to the other party on my policy without letting me know. For weeks I had no clue a payment was even sent out! Then a month + later I got hit in the same exact spot and had to go through with the claim because the damage was extensive. They filed both claims separately when the car was damaged in the same exact spot! They separated the claims and went through with both! Just to collect money out of me and now I have two claims on my insurance!! It is so deplorable what they did!! Once the car was damaged extensively in the second accident the first accident was completely irrelevant ! Nobody communicated with me!!Liberty Mutual Group Response

Worst service ever. claims rep ******** just hang up on me. Refusing to give supervisor phone number. Car was stolen and recover on April 12 2024. adjuster drop the ball never retrieve the vehicle. now the tow pound suing me for the chasrges!!! I was insured with Liberty Mutual. I live in **. We had a problem with Liberty Mutual increasing our premium every 6 months without changes to cars or conditions. The last increase went from $263 in Nov 2023 and increased 2 months later to $315 in Jan 2024! So we decided to cancel the policy which we did in Jan 2024. I received a collection notice for $414 non payment. Since we pay our bill in advance I was dumbfounded about this notice. When I called I was told that since we cancelled on the 26th and our monthly policy renewal is on the 13th we have to pay the $414. So I asked why we were charged $414 for 13 days of coverage when our policy was $263. Then he told me about a "short rate fee". This is the fee Liberty Mutual charges when you don't cancel on or before the monthly policy renewal date. Who knew? But the kicker is in our case the short rate fee is more than the policy premium. They charged $292 for cancelling after the 13th! That's the monthly premium plus an additional $29! And then they have the nerve to prorate the 13 days of coverage! That's criminal and should be illegal to ***** consumers like that. With a net income of over $200 million I'm sure they can lower that fee which shouldn't exist in conjunction with the prorated fee. What's more upsetting is that they are ruining my credit by sending this to collection. So it's insult to injury. Liberty Mutual isn't just satisfied with stealing my money now they are out to ruin my credit. Greed is shameful!Liberty Mutual Group Response
