I was recently approached by this company who walked up to my door to offer service to my chimney, rebuild from the roofline up and repoint below. they were working for a while trying to keep me informed as to what was going on, then had walked outside to see how they were doing, and my chimney was demolished. He offered to replace it for me 60k, then 40k, and then 17k. The man refused to give me the owners phone number (which turned out to be his father) and we negotiated to 10k in addition to the 1k deposit I had already given. In the meantime, I am going several days with no heat and hot water and the boiler exhaust was blowing right in my basement. Finally, the chimney was finished but the boiler was still not exhausting so I took the exhaust off my boiler clearing a TON of debris from the installation and the flue liner is blocked 2/3 of the opening for the boiler. I had the fire department come out and they said it is not safe and to keep the boiler off. The owner *************************** has stopped answering my messages. Today I went on the roof to clean my gutters, I looked at the chimney and the top wasnt finished.
