      My husband and I live in Cambridge Housing and, as part of a huge reconstruction project, we had to move from one CHA residence to another. During the move (the day of) we were forced, against our *****, to put stuff into storage. After a month of me begging and pleading with them we got some but not all of our stuff back. It is now almost 2 months later and I have continued to beg for my stuff back. Found out today from *********** that they "accidentally" threw the rest of our stuff away and I don't even know what they still had! Thousands of dollars worth of stuff (including many items of sentimental value) were thrown away. I asked them (for the 3rd or 4th time) for an inventory of what they took and have yet to get anything.

      To Whom It May ********************************************** Moving & Storage has been contracted by *************************** to relocate their residents, store items and dispose of unwanted items. All items are inventoried before they are stored with RARE. Before the moving team's departure, a physical copy of the inventory is handed to the tenant or tenant's move coordinator if the tenant has left for the day. RARE's administrative staff also sends a copy of the stored items to ***************************. This is RARE's protocol. 

      There was an unfortunate miscommunication between the paperwork. The tenant in questions items were disposed. RARE is making every effort to resolve this matter immediately.

      Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered. 

       

      My response is that the moving company said that we got an inventory the day we moved. That was not true they didnt give us anything. I kept asking them for an inventory and we didnt get one until just a week ago. Plus, the inventory they sent us was kind of useless. Also they have admitted to throwing our stuff out but we have yet to have any sort of financial reimbursement for all the stuff they threw away.

      By the way, the reason I say the inventory list they sent us was useless is because: number one we didnt know what they took and 2 all the inventory list says is box, box,  box, etc.
