Ive never used this investment company, but today this business withdrew $27,000 from my checking account. I put a fraud alert on my personal bank account. I called ********************** and was told they could not help me since I claim to not have an account. Yet, then told I have an account in my name but cant give me any information. ********Review from Priscilla D

On June 3, around 1130am EST. I received a text message indicating suspicious activity on my Fidelity account. The message indicated two options reply yes if you made a money transfer for $5500.00 and no if you did not, I replied no. Within five minutes of replying, I received a call from ***************** stating that she was with the Fidelity Fraud team. How do I know you are with Fidelity? Was my first question, ***************** was able to provide me with my last gas transaction, and location of purchase. and the last four of my Fidelity credit card numbers. *** advised me that she would send me a text message that contains a "one-time" code and I would need to read it back to her. *************** asked me to hold the line while she reviewed my account. While on hold I noticed money was being withdrawn from my accounts. I was feeling anxious and confused not knowing what was going on, so I decided to call a different number for Fidelity. I was able to speak with *** with the Fidelity fraud team. I explained the situation to *** and only then I was informed that ***************** was a fraudster. I was told by the fraud team that they would need to conduct an investigation. Approximately two weeks later I received a letter stating, based on our investigation your funds will not be credited back to your account. I was never contacted by the fraud team for additional information that would aid in the investigation.Review from Richard L

I have been using Fidelity for holding money and stock/options trading, and they are hands-down the best for that. They have no fees for creating an account and holding money in the brokerage account. There are no minimum balances that I'm aware of. Buying/selling stock is free, and buying/selling options is pretty cheap at $0.65 per contract. Contracts to buy to close under a certain amount are free.Their website and mobile app are easy to use to trade, although you need to use their website for foreign currency trades, and you can't withdraw that money in a foreign currency easily. You can buy/sell stocks, options, and CD's easily through their mobile app.I have wired money out using their services to buy a house twice now, and they don't charge for a fee for wires.Their customer support is top-notch. Any issues I've had, they are always easy-to-reach, friendly, and helpful. They reached out to me when suspicious or large transactions occurred in my accounts.---That being said, I would not recommend holding money in one of their investment funds, as they don't beat the *** and VOO. This has nothing really to do against them as a company. As a company, they are still great.Review from Ronald B

Very bad customer service. I just spent one hour trying to find a competent person to make sure I did a transaction online correctly. The reps were not knowledgeable, and worse, often did not admit it until well into the conversation. I was transferred from one person to another, and in one case, to someone new on the job, rather than to an experienced person as I requested. After one hour, I was not able to complete the transaction. And this was fairly simple.Review from Ashley C

Wonderful customer service. Reliable. 24/7 Support. Just a great company. ALSO people answer the phone that you can actually understand and no wait times to talk to a real person.Review from Mary G

Fidelity handles my grandfather's pension from ******* Earlier this year, my grandmother needed to change checking accounts, which required closing the account my grandfather's pension is direct deposited into. When they called Fidelity, they refused to update it because my grandfather (94 years old with early stages of dementia) was unable to pass the security verification questions and they refused to let my grandma help him. Ok fine, I get it. So in March 2024 I began filing for power of attorney. Of course they didn't care that I already had power of attorney through their lawyer and I needed to fill out their form. Except they have a third party, Alight, manage power of attorney paperwork. So I sent it to Alight who approved it after about a month or so of back and forth. Alight then notified ****** and Fidelity. Except Fidelity never received that approval and I had to talk to Alight several times and they submitted multiple tickets until Fidelity finally received it. Then fidelity mailed me a one page contact form. They have since received it but are saying it could take 2 weeks to a month to "process" a form with only my name, address, DOB, and SSN. So Fidelity has withheld my grandfather's pension for MONTHS because they're so disorganized and poorly operated. They should not be allowed to operate like that.Review from Raymond L

I am writing to address a concerning issue regarding a transaction dispute on my Fidelity credit card. On 5/20/24 I made a purchase at ******************, located at **********, **. Unfortunately, I was double charged for this transaction. Upon discovering the error, I promptly filed a complaint with Fidelity Card Services and received a credit to rectify the duplicate charge. However, my dissatisfaction stems from subsequent events. After canceling my old card and receiving a new one, Fidelity unexpectedly debited the same amount from my account again. Upon inquiry, I was informed that Fidelity had contacted the business, and their representative confirmed the charge as legitimate. This unilateral decision was made without conducting a thorough investigation or consulting me further. I subsequently contacted Fidelity to request clarification and assistance in resolving this matter. Regrettably, I encountered reluctance and unhelpfulness from your customer service representatives. I believe that Fidelity should have undertaken a more comprehensive investigation into the disputed charge before concluding its legitimacy based solely on the vendor's confirmation. As a loyal customer of ********************** for more than 5 years, I have always valued the professionalism and reliability of your services. However, this recent experience has left me disappointed and frustrated. I urge you to reconsider the handling of my case and conduct a thorough review to ensure a fair and just resolution.Review from Eddie A

I had a bad experience with Fidelity that I would like to share.I retired four years ago and decided to set up brokerage accounts within **********************, Vanguard and American Century and set aside some money to trade stocks. The idea was the money will stay in retirement so that there will be no capital gains/losses until such time that I start my RMD. Well Vanguard and American Century set up the brokerage accounts correctly but not Fidelity. Fidelity took money out of my retirement account and set up a ************************************************* account . There was no way I would know that this had happened and since we got our 1099 online so I wasn't even aware of the tax liability for a couple of years until we got audited for a prior taxable year and we had to pay the overdue tax plus the penalty. When we complained to Fidelity we got the run-around.The lack of support and apathy was a wake-up call to me who had always envision Fidelity to be a customer focused organization. I subsequently paid off the tax bill, closed my Fidelity account and moved the money to Vanguard.************Review from Kyle P

Discriminated against me by sending a check even after providing direct deposit information. Was a customer with this ********************** for 10 + years and was targeted against my own portion of savings. 0/10 would not recommend.Review from Ed S

I give Fidelity a big fat 0 (zero) star rating due to their rude handling of this departure.Fidelity Investments, having had my accounts since 2018, decided that I would ruin their reputation due to my conviction in 2017 for a controversial subject dealing with Constitutional issues, among which, Freedom of Speech, Failure to follow Due Process of Law by the Circumvention of Amendment process in altering Constitutional freedoms and Creation of Rule by Force of Arms in enforcing Blatantly Obvious Unconstitutional Legislation by use of Armed individuals. Sorry No Joke here, This is really happening in the **************Even though I have served my time and have had a good record on probation, as well as being my Sister's ****** Surrogate after her 9 strokes, my parent's caretaker and voluntary caretaker of my neighbor (a semi-blind Veteran and loosing sight in the remaining eye; I am also a Vet of 14 years service as well), Fidelity has chosen that without any violation of trading rules or the company's financing rules and without any forewarning to 1) look backward at only a non-financial "crime" conviction and force a closure of my account by restricting trades utilizing my own money "without any potential of reinstatement or recourse", 2) terminated my credit card despite having over $350,000.00 being held at their company causing me financial harm directly and indirectly, and doing so under the auspice of "protecting their reputation".From what I see here, dumping me to protect their reputation is like an old prostitute putting on makeup. They have not only lost my business, but my multi-generational family members.across this Nation, from ******* to ******, and from ****** to the *********** and anyone that will listen and learn from my experience with Fidelity as I have already instigated a transfer to another brokerage.
