I applied for an apartment (******* at ********* in *********, **). They got back to me stating that because Rentgrow sent a report stating I had NSF fees I was not able to obtain an apartment. I called my apartment property, the bank I use, and Experian, for them to all tell me that there is no negative report on my payments or credit. I am trying to figure out where RentGrow got their misinformation. Their report prevented me from obtaining an apartment and could block me from others. How is their report not matching with ********************* even though that is supposedly where they get their information? This appears to be that RenGrow is predatory and causing many people to not get apartments

I applied to an apartment complex and was denied. I immediately emailed the dispute application along with documents several times. I even faxed a copy of the letter and my documents on June 13,2024. I called and the agent stated everything and the way it was submitted through fax and email was fine. The next day I got an email stating it was not fine every time I dispute. Im so frustrated and I need to move soon. I cant ever get emailed back or answers on the phone! This business is terrible.

I was just denied an application and they used to this same third-party company when I went to dispute my credit report I was able to see that the reason I was getting denied was because of a rental collection account. This collection account was disputed via Credit Karma as well as Experian 12 months ago and was successfully removed from my credit report. I disputed this on the rent grow company website as well as sent in proof showing that the account has in fact been removed from my credit report, but I was told that it could take 30 days for rent Grow to reflect this. We only have about 45 days before we have to move. This is insane. This should not be on my credit and I have to wait 30 days for a dispute that isnt on my current credit karma or Experian that I check everyday.

On May 7, 2024 I received a report from Rentgrow pulled from experian credit report in reference to a denied application. I used this screening report in accordance to my fcra rights and protections to file a dispute. My dispute was never resolved after waiting 35 days or so, I decided to fix my report myself and contacted the debt collection agencies myself. Based on the information provided to me I successfully had the inaccurate information removed & called to tell rentgrow about this. Property told me to reapply. Im denied again and given a second credit screening this time with more inaccurate information. Very suspicious, apartment community is saying rentgrow is denying my application. Rentgrow is saying thats not true, the property manager is denying my applications. Im not even sure whats going on and why does my report keep changing almost by design? Im very concerned about my civil rights and protections by violated by all parties involved. Why am I being lied to? Its giving serious discrimination violations Im definitely concerned

I made a rental application to ********************** in rapid city, **. I was denied as a result of previous charge offs and a vehicle repossession. The charge offs (2 in total) amounted to less than $1200 and were over 3 years old. The vehicle repo was NOT a repossession but rather a voluntary surrender of the vehicle (which has been disputed with the credit bureus) *** to the situation surrounding the voluntary surrender. Further the credit bureau rentgrow pulls from has my payment history on that vehicle listed as 60 days late 10 times when that is untrue (which again i have a dispute with the bureau filed and confirmation numbers of the disputes. These credit hiccups aside I have over 7 years of rental history without a single missed rent payment and make more than 3x the rent of the property. The property manager informed me they cannot override rentgrow's decision to deny my application and I must dispute the information with rentgrow, I have attempted to do this but for the last 3 days I have not been able to get ahold of anyone on their phone number, yesterday I spent 3 hours on hold from 3pm mt to 6pm when their office hours closed and the line went dead the property manager cannot override rentgrows "risk assessment" without rentgrows approval but I cannot dispute anything because I cannot speak to anyone. The property manager even told me after we discussed the negative items on my screening report they WANT ME TO LIVE THERE, however YARDI won't allow them to override rentgrows decision. I have 60 days to find a place to live and cannot continue paying application fees to be denied because rentgrow uses the only credit bureau that hasn't corrected my dispute regarding the voluntary vehicle surrender or the incorrectly reported late payments, and there is no way to contact rentgrow about the is*** and speak to the individual who "assessed my risk level".

This company provided a screening report to Apartments at **************** that stated that I had adverse civil court actions. This is not accurate. I have zero judgements from my current landlord , never went to court and paid every late fee and rent due for the 3 yrs as a resident of ******************. Every ten day late notice ever issued was cancel and dismissed prior to a court date. This should be stated in the report. The same applies for my former residence ***************** Apts. I owed no monies, was never in court and received my security deposit back and was able to qualify to move into ******************. I need this to be corrected immediately and reported to Apt at **************** and any other apt that this adverse report was given to. I have given notice to vacate my current residence and could be homeless by June 28th if immediate action is not taken. This is unfair and highly damaging in such a critical time. There are a lot of negative reviews against this company and in a highly competitive rental market. It appears that there might be a coordinated attempt by this company and its clients, property mgmt companies to take advantage of consumers, by encouraging people with less than perfect credit to apply for rental units and pay application fees knowing that they have already assigned the unit to other applicants and then they use this company to issue adverse letters to justify denials. If this is what is happening it needs to stop as it will be discovered and can result in legal action being taken. Court cases that are noted as dismissed with no judgment should never be included in adverse actions. Finally it stated that I had high collections on my credit report. I have a total of 5 closed accounts and zero were ever in collections. I have 4 open accounts that are all in good standing.. this is also a misleading statement.

I have provided an countless proof of irrefutable evidence to Rent Grow to prove that the 4 cases and 3 collections account the used as criterion to screen me and issue adverse action letter that is preventing me from being approve for an apt rental  were base on erroneous information, yet they refused to consider the evidence and issue an updated screening report. I am also deeply concerned that my private data is being farmed out to other third party vendors in other states that are not qualified to evaluate court records and notations in the state where I reside. I obtained evidence directly from the property manager that their attorneys did file to vacate a judgment entered in error against me, yet the third party vendor look at that updated filing and interpreted it incorrectly. I am asking that Rent Grow please consider the evidence that I provided directly from the two properties they cited in their adverse screening and issue a revise screening, removing the adverse civil court history from my record and refrain fro stating that I have a high level of collections accounts, when in fact it was  three accounts totaling $2132  one of which I disputed as paid off. And the other 2 I have since contacted the vendor to set up a payment arrangement.
