On 8/16/2016 the Michigan Attorney General's office announced that it had filed a suit against Veolia Water North America Operating Services, LLC. The suit holds the business accountable for professional negligence and fraud, which caused the city of Flint, MI's lead poisoning problem to continue and worsen, and created an ongoing public nuisance.
