We had a sudden need to replace a kitchen sink faucet that broke. I got online and made an appointment the next day, where other vendors wouldn't even call us back. really helped us out with a leak under the kitchen sink - the appointment was made very easily and the team arrived on time and got the work done efficiently and we are back up! They suggested replacing some other valves under the sink that were the same age as the leaky one so we won't have any further issues.Wonderful experience.Papalia Home Services Response

I loved how easy it was to check out our garbage disposal! I made the appointment online easily and was then surprised to get a call offering me an even earlier appointment. We had 2 copper pipes burst in our attic on Feb 4th due to freezing temps outside. Even though Papalia had many calls that day due to the historically low temps, the telephone rep was able to dispatch a plumber to our house within 90 minutes. He was able to repair and re-pressurize the system, release water from the ceiling, and check for more leaks. He also referred us to a restoration company to dry the ceiling and prevent possible mold. Finally, he gave me the burst pipes for insurance purposes.Thank you Papalia for your very prompt response and thorough, meticulous work. Both employees we dealt with were helpful, personable, and professional. We remain very satisfied customers!Review from Maureen H

We had a burst pipe during the recent deep freeze - ******* was wonderful to work with getting ** scheduled for someone to come out as soon as possible and **** did an amazing job quickly identifying the problem area and correcting it, as well as suggesting some additional changes that could help avoid the problem in the future. Everything was identified, fixed and the work area completely clean and back to normal within a couple of hours. We've always had terrific service from Papalia in the past and this was no exception, but was especially appreciated and impressive given the circumstances surrounding the excessive cold and the really high # of emergency calls they had to handle. I had a scheduled ****************************** maintenance service performed this past week. It was pre-paid, $168. Two technicians arrived at my house, I think one was in training. I have a propane furnace, they typically require less maintenance than oil furnaces. The lead technician told me that there was a part that should be replaced to prevent a possible shutdown in the future. I was working from home and said ok, he then told me it would be $571 to replace the piece. I didn't think to much about it at the time. After they were done, I asked to see the replaced part. It did show some wear, I commented that it must be a very expensive part, he agreed with my comment. The technicians were there for less than an hour, I would guess half was spent on the part replacement. I paid the bill and they left and said I would receive an email with the invoice. I still had the part and the bag from the new part. I looked it up on line and the most expensive cost I saw was $30. That left me to believe that I paid $541 for less than 1hr of labor which is outrageous. I contacted Papalia and asked for an itemized bill. they told me that they don't provide that. I was stunned, they also said that the part cost $50 and a day later gave me a credit. That still meant $541 for labor, the job didn't require 2 people and I don't expect that I would pay for Papalia to train the 2nd person. They would not comment on the labor after a 2nd request. I then contacted my credit card company and put a hold on the payment. The card company agreed to work the issue with me. I look forward to resolving the issue at a fair price. I am ****% sure that the two young techncians didn't get paid $250 each for a simple job. Also remember that I prepaid for the maintenance so that would presumably pay for travel time. Seems like a case of price gouging to me.Papalia Home Services Response

We have flat rate pricing, we always explain this during your initial call to us, pricing includes labor, material, warranty & travel. We understand that prices have gone up considerably for all types of services, ***** and **** were actually at your home for over an hour and we do not charge extra for a tech in training. Papalia works hard to keep our prices as fair and competitive as possible and for the work done we feel that this was more than fair. Papalia Home Services is the best in the industry because we have the best team in the industry.
