On 06/16/23 I took my family to *** ***************** to see a movie the day before my sons birthday. When watching the movie my son informed me had to use the restroom. So we left to the bathroom, when entering the stall my son slipped on some liquid that was on the floor and hit his head on the hand rail near the toilet( we were in the handicap stall). I ran to pick him up while slipping on the floor as well. I ran out of the bathroom to seek help as my son seemed like he didn't know where or what was going on. After informing one of the staff members they were able to get him ice for is head and informed me that I needed to fill out an incident report, which I did. Management informed me that they recommend me taking him to get checked out and that if there were any issues or cost incurred that ***'s ******************* would get a hold of me. I did receive a call while I was at work along with a voicemail to contact *******************************. I have since been trying to get a hold of her and even tried calling Gallagher Basset directly to see if maybe someone else may be able to help me since ****** was not returning my calls. Todays date is 09/12/2023, Its almost 3 months after the incident that i have still not heard from anyone let alone ****** about my situation. I am hopeful BBB will be able to help me with this matter.Initial Complaint

This insurance company has failed to return phone calls for 7 months and I have now been sent to collections for a bill theyve not even called the health provider about. My dental office has been calling twice a month and has sent multiple emails requesting response for a bill caused by a workmans comp loss on 01/27/2022. The only paperwork EVER received and single phone call from the company was in March 2022. They since have ignored several emails, voicemails and complaints to agent AND management, from me, my companys HR department As well as the dental company. I have been sent to collections for a bill they refuse to review. This has been over 6 months and my claims agent doesnt even work for the company anymore! They have NOT assigned a new claims agent and we have been unable to reach them for months! They have been reported to the insurance commissioner with the case number attached. My nearly perfect credit is going to de ruined due to a lazy insurance company I pay money to monthly and this is to no fault of ours! Every document attached has been sent to them several times by multiple senders. Thank you for your review.Business response

Branch Manager ************************* spoke with ******************** on October 18, 2022 to discuss his claim. ******************** received dental treatment as a result of a work injury, however the ******** was submitted directly to ******************** and not through the workers compensation process. It was discovered after the billing was received and sent to the scanning center it never made it to the electronic ******** (e-bill folder) for the adjuster to process payment. After some investigation, we were able to locate the billing.
Ms. ******* apologized for the issue and provided resolution. A payment to the provider is being overnighted and this information was provided to ********************* With ******************** on the phone the provider was contacted and notified of the issuance of the payment, provided the check number as well as tracking number. Both the provider and ******************** were provided with the Branch Managers phone number should any further questions arise. ******************** was very appreciative of the follow up and phone call resolving the issue.

I contracted COVID at work and my corporate manager told me to file a WC claim with Gallagher Basset. The claim was filed 12/20/21. There has been no communication from Gallagher Basset except for an acknowledgment letter sent on 12/22/21. The adjuster on my case has an invalid number and his manager is not taking my calls stating the adjuster has to call me back. I have also sent several emails to the adjuster at ********************* but no response. Under the IL workers compensation act, a determination needed to have been day 14 days after the filing date and timely payments made thereafter. I also filed an internal complaint with Gallagher Basset last week but again there has been no communication from them. My employer has also sent several inquiries on my behalf with no response either.Customer response
