I purchased a contract from Green Energy Mechanical for $368 for heating and cooling. The company came to service my AC unit in May 25, 2023 and told me my refrigerant was low and will need 21bs. ******* the technician spoke with his manager and gave me a quote of $600.00. I agreed with the quote and all the information was sent to me online for the installation of the 2 1bs of Freon to be added to my AC unit. I signed and played for job by check in the amount of $600.00. On June 5 th 2023, I requested time off from work for this company to come and add the 2 1bs of refrigerant which ****** from Green Energy Mechanical came and said he did. Now I have no idea if it was done or if he did it correctly, he told the job was done.Yesterday June 18th, 2024 new year new contract paid for again. I had AC unit service by same company different technician ***************************** , he was here a while running AC unit and told me he checked the condenser coil and there are no leaks and my AC unit needs 1b of refrigerant. I ask how could that be if your company came last years and add 2 1bs of refrigerant and you found no leaks where is the other 1b that I paid for. So I was charged for 2 1b and they only added 1b of refrigerant. I called the office of Green Energy Mechanical and spoke with manager ***** immediately after the technician told me and he told me he would send back the same technician that came yesterday which is ****** today to add the 1b refrigerant to the unit at 8 am. It June 19th, 9:50 am no one call or came. I called to remind them yesterday they didn't pickup and I left a message they never responded.

On June 10, 2024 an Air Conditioner (AC) technician came to my house to service an AC handler in the attic. During the course of the service call the technician, through carelessness put his foot through the second floor ceiling breaking / shattering the ceiling drywall. The technician took pictures of the ceiling damage and sent the pictures to his supervisors at Green Energy. Green Energy officials accepted responsibility and stated that a ********* (associated with Green Energy) would repair / fix the ceiling. An appointment with the ********* was scheduled for yesterday, June 17, 2024. *************************** was a no show. Several Voice mails to Green Energy regarding this matter have fallen on deaf ears. No response at all. I am seeking to have Green Energy take full responsibility for their technicians careless actions and to repair the ceiling at their expense.

*on 7/26/2023 I paid company $1250 to replace toilet parts. * The water bill invoice that I received for the period of time for the period 7/14/23-10/23/23 was $3,145.02, which was 6 times my highest bill. * The *********************** came to our house to determine why my usage was so high. Their findings show that the high usage was directly because of the toilet that they replaced the parts on. There is a report from the town that states this. * I requested that Green Energy pay $2585 for part of my water bill as they were directly responsible for the high water usage.*Green Energy offered to refund $1250 (the amount that I paid them to repair the toilet) but not to pay any more than that for my water bill. I believe that this is wrong. In his email reply, the owner stated, "Thank you for providing the additional documentation and allowing me to discuss the situation further with our Master ******* who performed the recent repairs on your toilet. He informed me that he discussed with you the recommendation of replacing the toilet due to its age which would require the potential need for wall renovation. However, while he provided two repair options, you opted for the more affordable solution to address the immediate leakage concern." I feel like he is somehow implying that it is my fault that the toilet ran constantly because I didn't renovate my bathroom.* After the water department determined the problem, my neighbor (who is a handy guy but not a plumber) fixed the issue completely.

Thank you for providing the additional documentation and allowing me to discuss the situation further with our Master ******* who performed the recent repairs on your toilet. He informed me that he discussed with you the recommendation of replacing the toilet due to its age which would require the potential need for wall renovation. However, while he provided two repair options, you opted for the more affordable solution to address the immediate leakage concern.

However, considering the age of your toilet and the potential for further issues, a complete replacement with updated plumbing would be the most reliable and long-term solution. Unfortunately, due to the existing condition and age of the equipment, we, and likely any other plumbing company, would be unable to offer a warranty on any repair work for the existing toilet.

To demonstrate our commitment to customer satisfaction, we are prepared to offer a full refund of the $1,250 you paid for the recent repairs. Before processing the refund, we would like to send *********** back for a complimentary inspection to assess the overall plumbing system and identify any potential concerns that *** require future attention. This proactive approach can help prevent future unforeseen issues and ensure your plumbing system operates efficiently.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

The original reason I requested the toilets repair was because the toilet leaked when it was flushed.  The plumber replaced some of the interior toilet parts and this repaired the leak.  The company's response did not address my complaint, which is that when the company made this repair they inadvertently did something wrong that caused the water in this toilet to run constantly.  I have lived in my house since 2007 and I have never had a problem with this toilet running until after the repairs were made on it.  After I received the extremely high water bill the town of Canton sent a worker from the water department to find the source of the increased water usage.  The worker also showed me where the water meter is located and that it was slowly and constantly running. I have attached a detailed report from the water department that specifies the source of the problem to this toilet.  After receiving this report a family friend (who is NOT a plumber, but is a very handy guy) figured out that there was a lever on the inside of the toilet that was letting in too much water.  My friend turned the lever a few rotations to the left.  After he did this the water meter stopped running and the tank filled less after it was flushed. I feel that the evidence that I presented (water bill history, high use water bill, report from the town of Canton and the service dates that precede the high water bill) are sufficient evidence that Green Energy should pay for the excess water bill.

Businesses and Customers should be civil, courteous and polite in their responses to complaints. It is important to remain professional and productive when participating in the BBB complaint process.

      Business response

      02/26/2024

      Hello ********,

I understand your frustration with the unexpected water bill and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. As discussed during the service call, *********** recommended replacing the toilet due to its age and the potential for future leaks. While we understand your preference for a more affordable solution at the time, the existing condition of the toilet limited the warranty on the repair. Instead of having a friend who is not a licensed plumber work on your plumbing fixture, we could have been notified to come sooner and avoided any potential issues.

We are happy to offer a refund of the amount for the service call of $1250 as well as a complimentary comprehensive inspection of your entire plumbing system to identify any potential issues that might lead to future leaks or unexpected repairs. This can save you money and frustration in the long run by addressing any other minor plumbing issues you may not be aware of before they become major problems.

      Thank you,
