We got an estimate 8/2020 for a whole house standby generator, work to begin 2/2021. 50% paid by 2/2021 ($5982). Asked them to coord with propane supplier. They said they were ready early Feb but never contacted the propane supplier; we didn't know where the generator location was or the gas line routing. The gas line heats a green house, we didn't want to lose heat, and asked them to delay. They said okay and we would get the next generator. By April we did not hear from them, asked if we were on, did not hear back. Had one visit in June, to discuss the generator location. They said it had never been decided. I disagree. Since June they seldom reply to emails, they seldom reply to the phone. We do not have an estimate for completion. Email thread attached. We talked to other companies that we quoted from. They have generators or can get delivery estimates; ours isn't talking to us.We have lost confidence in this supplier. Recent ****** comments have been poor. Their competition has said there was a shakeup in April and things have changed. If they are doing things in the background and just are too busy to talk, but could install soon, we would wait for them. But we are just as happy to drop them and try with someone else. We have no trust in them, we will not use them for periodic service, and will never contact them again if they complete the installation and the generator works.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.

I contracted with Emergency Power Generator of New England to install a whole house generator for my home address. Based on the contract terms, I had to pay half the cost of the installation prior to install beginning. The install was to begin of 3/17/21 and I paid $4103.13 on 2/2/21. Installation began on 3/17/21 without the Business ever informing me they did not have a generator. Per the business line items, they have delivered $1,750.00 worth of services. The business could not tell me when they could acquire a generator to complete the install, reasonable efforts to negotiate the completion of the installation broke down and the business has decided they no longer plan to complete my install. I have been more than accommodating as a consumer of the business services and fully expect an immediate refund of the $2353.13 that was paid in advance for services/product that will not be delivered by the business. I have attached e-mail correspondence I tried having with the business as they were not returning calls to voice messages left.
