Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/27) */ This client entered into a contract with this office on 1/5/22. My contract states there is a $375 retainer, to which I offered 6 installments of $62.50. The 1st installment was paid on 1/17/22 via PayPal. Client states that this office did no work. Per my billing invoice dated 2/11/22 the following work was done for Jan 2022: 1/4/22/ review parent provided school related documents=90 mins, 1/6/22 compose and send letter of involvement and record request to school district=15 mins, 1/10/22-received requested documents; print for review and update file-15 mins; 1/19/22-multiple emails with school to attempt earlier mtg date=15 mins; 1/26/22-email w/parent on scheduling parent mtg-15 mins; then on 2/1 there was a zoom conference with the parent and daughter scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Parent did not log on till 4:45 p.m. Meeting lasted till 5:15 p.m. Because this was scheduled for 4:30 and ended at 5:15, this would be 45 minutes of time used. Parent and Daughter were very argumentative to each other. It was not a productive mtg. I asked daughter to do a bit of homework to better understand her perspective. This information was never received. At this time the client has an outstanding balance $181.25. The retainer of $62.50 has been exhausted and the outstanding balance is what remains. This office did abide by the contract that the parent signed. The parent may feel that there was an extended delay in moving forward on the advocates part. We had two scheduled meeting with the school (January 7 and February 4) but unfortunately both of those dates school was cancelled because of snow storms. We do not have controlled over the schools schedule and when assembling a team meeting for special education, there are very specific staff that need to be in attendance. This could potentially have up to 10 people. Scheduling these people can take some time. If you need further information, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is an unthruthful and very inaccurate response from the business. I will postpone my response due to pending court case against the business. Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/03/01) */ Thank you for the opportunity to respond. At this time, I continue to stand by the previously submitted information. This is an accurate outline of services that have been provided to the client.
