This law firm was garnishing my wages and continued to garnish my wages even after I filed for bankruptcy. After the bankruptcy was filed my wages are protected and therefore I would like the sum of $675.48 refunded to me for the wages garnished on 5.24.24 and 7.5.24. I filed for bankruptcy on 5.14.24. I have attempted to resolve this matter with them via email to the law firm and to ****************************. ********************************************************** and ********************************************************* but all emails have gone answered. And they continue to garnish my wages. They sent a letter to my employer to stop the wage garnishment and put the incorrect social security number which I brought to their attention but they just dont respond to my emails or have issued a refund.Business response

Upon receiving notice of ****** ******* bankruptcy, RLG sent written notice to **** of America, Ms.******* employer to cease any further garnishment. When, in early ********************* requested return of garnished funds allegedly taken from her May 24th paycheck, I confirmed that RLG had not received any post bankruptcy wages but that in the event RLG did receive any,they would be returned to the employer as the account was closed. I also contacted the employer and was assured that the employer had received our cease garnishment request and that they had not issued any post bankruptcy earnings to RLG. As a result of Ms. ******* BBB complaint,which referenced not only her missing pay from May 24th but another six weeks after I confirmed the garnishment closure, I escalated the matter to have the claims investigated. I was advised today there had been a May 24th garnishment but that the payment had been voided and never sent to RLG. A copy of the voided payment is annexed. The servicer is now looking into whether the funds were ever returned to Ms.Prensa. I was also made aware today that the employer did garnish the Defendants wages on July 5, 2024 and issued payment to my office yesterday, on July 8, 2024 but that we can void the check and the funds will be made available to Ms. ******************* A copy of the email from the servicer confirming that they have the funds and will reimburse is annexed as the second attachment.
