I purchase a Classic car from Spike speed shop in October for my birthday. The shop was waiting on some parts for this car. I ask for the title to the car but I was told that they were going out of town for the weekend and it turned out they were gone for two weeks. When I finally got the title and the paperwork I went to the registry of motor vehicle to try to get a title and register the car with insurance I had already purchased and became an issue with the title because it was signed over to the owner of the person who I was buying a car from when the car was sold to a person. I went back to Spike speed shop spoke with the owner about the issues and he kept giving me all kinds of different paperwork I went to the registry six times and I could not get anything done because the paperwork was incorrect. The owner of Spike speed shop kept telling me that they didnt know what they were doing at the registry of motor vehicle. I am 63 years old and feel that Im being taken advantage of. Can you please help

In response to the complaint since he has refused to respond to us directly,  We sold this classic car as is outright Private Party to party.   Highlighted everywhere that needed to be filled out on the back of the out of state title.  He neglected to follow instructions showed up numerous times without appointment which unfortunately takes us away from other clients some of which have waited well over a year for our services as a specialty shop.  We did and continue to do our absolute best to accommodate the party.  But somehow his mis appropriation of the paperwork is now our fault somehow.  We have stored his car at no charge since purchase maintained it i.e. started it moved it had it connected to a battery tender needless to say above and beyond.  Also taken numerous messages calls well after business hours.  Now that he has the paperwork all fouled up he wants money back?  Thats not going to happen nor does it per law and statue.  Our last message to him was very polite we asked that he compose himself and reach out to our office staff on Tuesday the 24th of Jan it is now Friday Jan 27th a week from our last contact and we have not heard anything back.  If he is not willing to follow the steps to rectify the situation and work with us there is really nothing we can do.  He currently still owes a balance for a special order brake kit we purchased at his request.

My vehicle has been at this shop for 3 years for work that should have taken a few weeks to complete. I continue to call the owner, text the owner, get blown off, excuses, won't respond or call me back. I have text message after text message of him just ignoring me over and over. I am at my **** end with this company.

We are sorry to hear that you are displeased, you have a vehicle here that has had a **** on it for several months, If we are going to display a bad review please have it be accurate. You had an ex employee agree to work we were never made aware of until months after the car arrived. Moving forward unfortunately there is no scattered blame although I have dozens of satisfied clients the last few years has been tough gaining workers to complete the workload we had amassed proved very difficult its a very simple explanation. Not sure how thats passing the blame, but moving on speaking of the owners PERSONAL ********* what he chooses to do with has nothing to do with the business as is questions concerning your car should be directed to the proper outlets i.e. the office email phone or our invoicing platform. None of which have been pursued, we have no voicemails missed calls messages or emails. The owner informed me the last time you had spoke you asked us to put the car out there to see if anyone was interested in buying it, which we did. Also offered it to us we began looking for a replacement engine to have it make sense for us. At the time we were unable to do so. As far as posting on our ************** and social media we have an individual who handles that for us at their leisure. So moving on as far as the job we were given, it was completed that is until we were given a tune that cost YOU an engine, we felt bad we took one of OUR engines out of inventory and swapped everything over with minimal expense to you. Unfortunately it developed an oil pressure issue we were not comfortable with and at that time we approached you on the next move. So again like we stated make sure you tell the complete story we do need your business or your validation you are right the job has been a headache since the it arrived here we trusted an employee that cost us thousands. Lets put the blame in the right place the person who got you into this we have gone above and beyond to rectify the situation. We do apologize but theres a forum for discussions like this and its not our employees personal phones which we have made SEVERAL posts about on our forms social media. We do hope this comes to an amicable resolve in the near future as we are in the business to build vehicles not store them or get involved in the drama. Have a great day ********!
