    I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. I chose a 430 pm, as that was my only option at the time. I received no confirmation email, so a few minutes later I tried again. There was a 7pm available, so I chose that and received a confirmation email. They called shortly after about 2 reservations, and we cancelled the 430 together on the phone. Of course I didn't make double reservations for the same night as no one would do that. It was an error with their computer system, and they admitted so. Of course, I told them that it was accidental. The night prior to going out to dinner my wife tested positive to Covid, I called multiple times outside of their 24 hour policy to cancel, and left multiple voicemails, with no return phone call from the restaurant. I noticed on my next AMEX that I was charged $150 twice for 2 no-shows. I called and spoke with ****** the manager. ****** admitted their glitch in the reservation system, and said that he would delete one of the charges, but I should meet him in the middle because there were two reservations made, and they lost 2 tables. Keep in mind this is also an extremely busy restaurant, with full tables. The bar area is also constantly full with parties hoping for a table. He claims they lost 2 tables, but anyone who has been to this restaurant would argue that claim is virtually impossible. I explained my two points of the computer glitch, and multiple unreturned voicemails. I am aware of their 24 hour policy so gave them notice. It is not our fault that the hostess didn't update the account for both reservations. It is a problem with their computer system as well as their inability for the hostesses to update the computer or return a phone call. We will never go to that restaurant again. They have a reputation for this behavior on Cape Cod, and dozens of reviews by customers complaining about the same thing.
