Contractor ************************************* (A-Plus Home Service Doctors) had installed new HVAC (Heater/AC) system at my rented apartment at ************************************************************. Contractor reused old refrigerant lines. Old refrigerant lines occurred to be defective and they leaked which prevented AC from running. The base for the work was a detailed quote from other company which I used to shop around for better offer (attached No 1 with quote No 2). Contractor agreed to do the job according the quote for better price (attached No 3). The quote contained: "Run New Refrigerant Lines and Drain Lines". Contactor response was: "we will do the job same as shown on quote". Contractor got the full agreed price, but he did not do the whole job. Contractor refused to fix the issue and install new refrigerant lines. Based on re-usage of old Refrigerant Lines I am not sure that new Drain Lines also were installed.- Should licensed professional know that re-use of old lines could lead to leaks.- Should contractor claim system new if lines are old and hide the fact that there were shortcuts in building AC system.- Should contractor get full payment for the system which is not built new according customer's expectations which were based on agreed quote used for estimation of the job.- Has contractor neglected bad state of refrigerate pipes which questions contactor's ability to have a proper judgement and follow to safety rules and foresee potential future problems.I would like contractor to install new Refrigerant Lines and Drain Lines, or pay refund to pay other contractor to do the job properly.
