I was informed by ******************* of the following on 2/24/21 by email:"Anyways majority of the siding is very old, ... But a good portion of the siding shingles are worn out, cracked, less than 50% or there original thickness left in the exposure, and curling off the wall, also in areas where the siding meets the roof, the siding is completely rotted away. There is also several louvered ***** vents that are rotten. "In March of 2021 I entered into a contract with Lord Exteriors to replace the siding on my house in East Falmouth. When I signed the contract, I sent a deposit check for $9,800. I was notified by email on September 3, 2021 the siding for the house had come in. He said he could start the job in a week or so. After many months of not hearing from him after many calls and emails, I heard from him in an email on March 30, 22. He said:"First of all I'm very sorry it's been so long. I did not work all winter, I was recovering from a shoulder surgery and I couldn't find any help. We are back to work now. We can literally start your job in about 2 weeks, maybe less, but no more than 2 weeks, I swear on my life! You're the most patient person I've ever...met, over emails anyways lol. You have my word, when we finish the job we are doing in North Falmouth, we will immediately begin your job. ..."I contacted ***** by phone and email many times after I received this email and he was unresponsive. Then he sent me an email on 8/7/2022 and said he wanted to talk the next day. I called him and left a message, but received no response. I finally decided that he was never going to get the work done. At that point I hired another contractor to install siding on the house, since the siding was in bad shape and I didnt want to risk having the house start to deteriorate. I needed to get the work done before winter. I asked ***** for my deposit back, since he never did the work. I would like to receive my deposit money back, since the job was never done.Initial Complaint

Dear Sir/Madam: 1. BEWARE! **********************, DBA Lord Exteriors is a Liar, Cheat, ************ Man Extraordinaire! He appeared over 5 hours late at dinnertime as I was reeling from a serious spine ailment after a 4 1/2 drive in traffic. His truck had broken down - the tow operator had stolen his phone and personal belongings, and I'll see you the *************** for 10 bucks! His contract was detailed and believable so we scheduled job and I gave him the $1,300.090 deposit. Then he abruptly exited for "Personal Reasons." And of course we never got to sign the contract (part of the scam). He cashed my check immediately, "No Show" for the job, then disappeared forever!!! Mr. **** has a history of defrauding the public by pouncing on a weakness - In my case, a senior in distress with headquarters out of state! 2. ****************************************** their case pending in Falmouth court against ******************* for up to $20.000.00 - prosecuting attorney, ************************. 3. ************************ failed "BuildZoom" score with a "48" out of a possible 100 - He did not rank in the top 50% of Mass. contractors. (www.buildzoom.com is a Mass. Contractor - performance rating company). Thank you for your assistance. Enc: My 11/13/21 letter to **** My cancelled check #****Initial Complaint

We entered into a contract with a ******************* of Lord exteriors to replace the remove the siding and install shingles on our home at **************************************** on June 5, 2021. I have attached a copy of the contract. We gave him a $5000 deposit towards this job. He removed all of the existing siding off of our house the first week of August and has not been back to the house since nor has he provided any proof that he actually ordered the shingles that we selected. He has not returned any phone calls regarding status or if he can complete this job. At one point we requested back in September just to see a copy of the order for the shingles so that we can know that they are on the way and he has failed to provide that or even return our phone calls. At this point our home is at risk of damage as we have no siding on it and entering into the winter. My last two phone calls asked him to please give me the courtesy of a return call But unfortunately that is not possible for him. The attached contract estimates that the time to complete the job is 3 to 7 days and has been over five months since we signed. I understand that there are supply chain issues and that hes had some personal problems but we have been more than patient and would actually be more understanding if he gave the courtesy of actually responding to us. At this point we believe hes no longer acting in good faith on the contract signed due to the lack of correspondence so we are requesting our $5000 deposit to be returned so we can work with a reputable contractor who will operate in good faith. If this deposit is not returned or the job is not Complete within the next two weeks I will pursue legal action and will not stop until I receive what is legally mine. Again If he simply had the courage to call, or gave us the respect of picking up the phone this could have been completely avoided- but unfortunately we are now past that point.Customer response
