Purchased a used car from them on Saturday February 10, 2024 -had the car inspected ************ on Tuesday February 13, 2024. Mechanic found significant issue with the motor/engine that was not disclosed to us at time of purchase. We called the dealer to inform them of the issue and asked that either the problem be repaired at their cost or we wanted to return the vehicle for a refund. The refused and hung up on me. They refused to offer any sort of solution to the problem. We paid seven thousand dollars for a vehicle. The cost to repair the issue is going to be significant and if we were aware of the issue we would not have purchased the car

On February 8th *********** came by and asked to take the *** to his mechanics for a diagnosis on the car in which I let him and *********** came back with a list of issues and asked me to sell him the *** for $6000 in which I told him no he offered me $7000 and said he would fix everything that was wrong with the car and we had a binding agreement I was selling the *** for $9500 so I took off $2500 to help him towards the bill. I have the binding contract that he signed i clearly told him Im not making anything off the car and Im using the $7000 to pay off the car and he agreed in writing

I serviced the ********** for around $1500 and got the car inspected I dont know what the customer is talking about not passing inspection when I make sure all my cars pass inspection and I put the proof and I set the customer up with a warranty this car only has 62k on it and drives excellent with no issues, I would like this thrown out, I put the proof about everything and I did including the inspection sticker.

The paperwork you presented was for repairs made for parking brake module but the reason for failure was for safety results failed ,emissions failure, stop lights and tail light failure, Readiness failure. All reasons for failure along with date inspected are highlighted in documents inclosed. I highlighted the date so you can see I took it 6 business days after I picked up the car from you.

You keep saying the car passed inspection, but are not providing any proof. You showed me a receipt of a parking brake that you had done, but that has no relevance to what I mention the car, failed mass inspection for EMISSIONS FAILURE,BACK LIGHTS, AND Control ARMS, not the parking brake .I provided ********* in documents uploaded You still havent provided documents that you had it inspected or passed please provide.

      Regards,

I purchased a 2009 BMW 328i X drive from a used car dealership. I got the car brought here to Maine February 9th 2022. I registered the vehicle February 10th 2022. On February 9th I was told the vehicle MIGHT pop up with a check engine light (something I was not told before hand) I said okay let’s wait to meet up so I can drive down to Massachusetts and look at the vehicle. I was told the vehicles issues have been fixed and good to go and they’re “mechanic wouldn’t of given the car back to the dealer if it wasn’t good to go” I said I wasn’t comfortable finalizing ANYTHING until I know the car is 1. In good safe condition and 2. If the car has a warranty. I was told the car has a warranty and it was going to be for 45 days. On February 10th after registering the car I ran the engine for codes which 6 codes popped up. I asked a mechanic about the codes and to get the car inspected (the vehicle was NOT inspected upon purchase which I did not know until after) and it won’t pass inspection due to issues. On February 10th not 24 hours after buying the car it had multiple lights pop up on the dash and wouldn’t run any more. I got the car towed to a mechanic shop (Meineke) on February 11th. Meineke said it was a bad mechanic job previously on the head gasket (which the dealer said was fixed) and the serpentine belt was shredded. The dealer said fix those 2 things ONLY and bill him which cost $900. The mechanic at meineke also told him and myself the vehicle had many issues like leaking oil, steering wheel wires leaking, control arm needed to be replaced to be safe and the codes needed to be diagnosed and fixed to be inspected and safe condition. The dealership only paid to get it running again. I’ve been back and forth with the dealership explaining to them the car died again and sent to Duvals mechanic shop 3/2/22 and that it 1. Can’t be inspected 2. Is not reliable and Safe. I paid out of pocket $1,953.52 on 3/23 to get the vehicle running again. *More info to share*
