On 5/13/2024 a technician from mosquito squad came to treat my property as we had agreed upon. During his preparations, he managed to spill a very large amount of chemicals that were not diluted onto my asphalt driveway. After the technician was completed treatment of the property, he noticed the spill and noted the spill in his body cam video. Instead of using a spill kit to clean the area, he dumped a very small amount of water on the oil based chemicals and left. The chemicals began to deteriorate the asphalt within a few minutes of contact. The damage to the property was documented. I contacted mosquito squad about this and they agreed to repair. I contacted ******** ******* and got a repair quote. Mosquito Squad contacted two separate companies, **** **** ****** as well as another. The first company that Mosquito squad contacted said they didn't want to do the job. **** **** ****** and ******** ******* both agreed that the driveway is heavily damaged and the area would need to be cut out and patched I would need a topcoat after the repairs are completed to prevent further damage to the driveway. Mosquito Squad is refusing to follow through with any repairs to my driveway due to their negligence. There is video evidence as well as written documentation of their initial agreement to repair the damages and return the driveway to its original state.

      Good Evening,

We acknowledge that our actions led to visual imperfections on ****************** driveway, and we agree that a coating is needed to provide a uniform color. However, there is a difference in opinion regarding the type of coating: we propose a sealant, while ************** prefers a 1.5 top layer. Thus, technically, in concept, we agree that a coating should be applied to the driveway.

We believe the driveway is stained, and our product spill could not have caused structural damage. During our discussions with **** ****, they conveyed that their proposed solutions would remedy this issue. We have offered multiple solutions, and the claims that we have refused to follow through or agree with any repairs are not completely accurate.

Initially, we attempted to clean the stain ourselves, which resulted in some improvement. We then consulted a local driveway cleaning company, who recommended seal coating. We reached out to **** ****, who also recommended seal coating. We obtained a quote for $1700 for cleaning, filling cracks, and seal coating the entire driveway, which we agreed to cover. We believe this would have left her driveway in better condition than it was previously, prior to our technician staining her driveway.

************** was not satisfied, leading to a revised quote of $3450 for a more extensive repair, which we also agreed to cover.

************** indicated that she prefers the $9660 quote from ******** ******* for a 1.5 top coat, which we feel is overkill and not needed to remedy the situation. As a gesture of good faith, we offered to cover half of this cost ($4830). However, that offer was sent in an email to which we did not get a response.

In that email, we also offered to submit to binding arbitration through the BBB if we could not come to an amicable solution.

Attached are the email communications between ************** and our team.
