              I paid the required $580 fee ($500 for "holding" and then $40 each for myself and my dad).I did this back in 5/9/22. The date for my move in is 7/3/22. I left them voicemails at their answering service last week and today. I have emailed them several times asking for information as the system is telling me to reach out to the housing office. No response. I went to their office during business hours and it was locked. I need to speak with them to sign the lease and get all the paperwork done and I am running out of time. I want them to either refund me the money I paid or get back to me. thank you very much.

              My girlfriend and I placed a $500.00 refundable deposit for an application to rent an apartment in *******, **. The fine print states if the application is cancelled within 48 hours or a denial is issued then the $500.00 would be refunded immediately. After we withdrew our application within the 48 hour policy, we contacted several representatives by ******** messenger, email, phone calls, left voicemail, etc and kept getting the run around. After a week and a half of stress and fearing that we became part of a fraudulent operation, it took a chain of several emails to different reps to get an answer for the refund. Finally, the refund was issued almost two weeks later and we're thankful it was resolved - but this company is incredibly unprofessional. If you call their office, it's only an answering service who can't actually help you with anything, so you have to pray that you can get in touch with someone there that has authority. I wonder how many $500 deposits have been stolen because some applicants out there didn't put the extra effort in that we did for something that was supposed to be simple, immediate, and automatic.
