I had a very outdated eyeglasses prescription so I went to Eye Care East on September 17, 2021. I found them on Yelp or ******* they had decent reviews and they weren't too far away. I figured that most eye doctors are about the same.The original appointment went fine, I got evaluated with a new prescription and chose some glasses that worked for me, and I paid them in full that day ($247, which I believe was for the eye exam and the glasses).I got the glasses on October 8, 2021. After trying them for a couple days I realized that there were issues with them, including a strange reflective effect on all of the edges. I went back in to the office on October 14, 2021 and met with a woman (not **************), I think the same woman who helped fit me for the glasses on October 8 after ****************** exam. She tried to tell me the edge reflection was a regular thing, which I'm sure was not true. I told her the issues I had and she said they would get new glasses made for me.In the EIGHT MONTHS since then, I have called Eye Care East four or five times, maybe more. They NEVER call me back, even when I have left a message with a (human) receptionist. They are basically avoiding me and I have no idea why. But it has been EIGHT MONTHS and I needed new glasses EIGHT MONTHS ago. They have not called to offer any explanation or suggested any ways to get me new glasses.I have not yelled at them in my voicemails, I have been very calm and simply asked them to call me back and tell me how we can resolve my issues. They will not call me back, which is absolutely mystifying to me and absolutely, undeniably unprofessional.I could keep calling them and waiting around, but why should I? This is something that the BBB and people should know. There is absolutely no excuse for the way they run this business.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
