      **** was our salesmen, he was a great help to tell us about getting a car for my daughter, we came back the next day he had the car ready for our test drive, she said she wanted it and by the end of our visit she had purchased the car Thanks for the help

      Back in July I bought myself a used 2012 mazda 3 from them for a computer car since I travel 160+ miles 6 days a week. This is the second purchase iv made in the last year. I bought my wife a 2017 traverse back in march. (This wasn't a good experience either since the engine light came on the day after we took it home, and took about a month to finally be resolved) so I bought the mazda In July. The next day I after taking it home I notice a exhaust leak. I called my salesman Jim explained the situation and he said the service department will be in contact with me. I had to wait a couple day for a phone call from them to set a appointment to have it checked. They found that it was my catalytic converter and flex pipe. Which they had to order from mazda but it would be a week to 2 weeks away. I waited the 2 weeks and never received a phone call so I called jim again and he said he would contact the service department. When he got back to me he said it would be another 2 weeks before they get the part. At this point I was pretty aggravated with the whole situation because I've already been waiting over a month, my exhaust was much louder, I can feel it moving back and forth when I would give it gas and it was affecting my cars pick up. so I told him I would like them to order a aftermarket part so I can drive and feel safe in the car that I just bought from them and I would also appreciate a free oil change and rotation for the headache which he said "don't worry, we'll take care of you". They eventually Called me 4 days later to set up a appointment to install the catalytic converter and flex pipe. 3 days before the appointment, I was leaving work in Boston and I heard a loud banging noise and kind of a pop. I thought I drove over a water bottle but I could see a trail of something behind me from my rear view mirror. My oil light turn on seconds later. I was in Boston and had nowhere to pull over so I drove until I could find a spot that wasn't in the middle of rush hour traffic. When I finally stopped, my car turn off. I had to have it towed to my in-laws house. The next day I tried to add some oil and a new filter just hoping it would be all it needed but that wasn't it. I could tell that it was most likely seized at this point. I called my salesman Jim to explain what happened. He talked with his manager who talked with the service manager rick. Rick called me and I explained what happened and that I have not touched the oil or filter since I bought it because I was waiting for my appointment to get it done. I mention that I thought my engine was seized and it could have been from the vibration and movement from the catalytic converter and flex pipe or maybe the service guy who did my oil change before they sold me the car left it too loose or over tightened it. He of course denied that any of that is possible and told me that there would be no warranty or anything they could do. He agreed to have it towed to there service center in Gardner and take a look and tell me what they thought was wrong. 3 days later which i get a TEXT MESSAGE from Rick. Not a phone call but a TEXT MESSAGE saying my engine is definitely locked up and I would need to replace it which he quoted me 4000$ plus tax for a used motor with 78000 miles on it. So now I am expected to pay this money for a vehicle I just bought 2 months ago. Just made my first payment at the beginning of august. Because of there negligence. They supposedly do a 100+ point inspection of the vehicle before giving it to you but they couldn't hear the catalytic converter or flex pipe making a noise. I don't know why my filter would have fallen off but I know that I never touched my oil filter. The last person to do so was the person who did the oil change before I was given the vehicle. I don't have the money to drop on a engine. This is there fault. Absolutely horrible service. Now my wife and kids are stuck without a vehicle because I need to get to work everyday.

      Thank you for sharing this experience with us. We certainly appreciate your opinion and take this feedback very seriously. According to our records your warranty has expired by both time and mileage as predicated by the states chapter 90 laws. During our inspection process of all of our pre owned vehicles we adhere an oil change reminder decal to the upper drivers side of the windshield. According to this decal your oil was due to be changed at 96985 miles and the vehicle currently has 98968 miles. Clearly much overdue for an oil change particular on a 9 year old vehicle. We have no scheduled appointments or records of a request for an oil change on this vehicle. Even if it was requested to be completed during the exhaust repair it would have been on record and still would have been very much so overdue. We find it highly unlikely that an oil filter would unscrew itself after 6000 miles of driving. I have never experienced anything like this in my 30+ years in the business. In the interest in maintaining a positive relationship with you and our community we are open to discuss mutual remedies to handle the issue at hand. Please advise as soon as possible your thoughts on this matter.

      Since my last review I have spoken with the al F******* the fixed operations director. I am very happy so far with the outcome of the situation since he agreed to help me out much more then I expected. Even though this has been a very uneasy experience, I do appreciate the customer service.
