My check cleared the bank on March 28. I was to receive The Gardner News for three months for $39.00. I called the phone number *-***-***-****. I told them I had not receive my newspaper. They asked how many days. I told them I had not received any paper. It is know April 28. No papers I asked for a refund. I got nowhere fast. Can you help? I am 84 years old. On 1/14/22 I sent a payment electronically in the amount of $46.80 for 13 wks of delivery of The Gardner News newspaper. It was delivered to them on 1/21/22 and cleared on 1/27/22. They claim they never got it in fact they cashed the electronic transfer from my bank account. They want a copy of cancelled check which doesn't exist because it was an electronic transfer from my checking acct. They stopped delivery approx. 3 1/2 wks ago. My husband and I have had a subscription to the Gardner News newspaper since 1983. We pay, and they deliver the newspaper, for 38 years. Last month, our carrier left us a note, saying they were retiring that day. We never received another newspaper. At the same time, we paid our next payment. The Gardner News cashed our payment of $137.80, but we have never received a paper. I have tried MANY times to contact the company, using the published telephone numbers, and email addresses for the business. No one responds. My husband went to the address they list, and no one was there. Though they owe us more, I am seeking refund of the $137.80 that I paid, for no newspaper service.
