Financed a car back in May. Brought it back multiple times before my warranty was over. Its only been 7 Months and the transmission is having an issue. Brought to another mechanic to have it evaluated. Nothing but transmission codes came up. When I voiced the transmission concern, they bypassed it and said nothing was wrong with it.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/12/14) */ This is unfortunate and blatantly false. The customer did purchase the vehicle in May and we had to correct a couple of minor issues while under the 30 day warranty which we gladly obliged. She did get a MA inspection sticker which would not have happened if the transmission was bad, as she implied. We did not hear a single word from her until around October when she complained about poor heat in the car. We flushed out the heater core for a very small charge (because she was 5 months and thousands of miles past her warranty). Not once at that time did she indicate any issues whatsoever about a problem with her transmission. In fact, this is the first time that we have heard about any issues with her transmission. If she had come to us, even after her warranty had long expired, we would have attempted to work with her, diagnosed the problem and offered her a very good price on the repair and would have even offered a comfortable payment plan for her. That ship has sailed now. We have a great reputation and stand behind every car that we sell but we will not be cajoled or bullied into offering free repairs to customers that are out of their warranty by 10,000 miles and 6 months. Cars have moving parts and do break down and we can't be expected to offer a life time warranty on the vehicles that we sell. If the customer had come to us first when the issue happened, this issue could have been resolved differently but she chose to make up her own narrative regarding the time lines involved. Of course, the customer has the legal option for satisfaction and we are ready to defend our reputation with honesty and valid documentation in a court of law.
