Aspen Dental in **************** MA took my money to complete my dentures and because I missed an appointment they have kept the money, refused to complete the work, and will not even return a call to discuss the issue.Business response

I'm changing dentist as this place has the worst front staff ever! I sent over a signed release to have my records sent to the new dentist and it's been over 30 days and they still have not sent it, I called yesterday and no response. Worst customer service!Business response

I'm filing as this is unacceptable. It's not fair or right for them to say "adhere to federal privacy law"! I'd like a phone call and response from this money making business that ignores clients requests. So no I do not accept this response. As I do not know why aspen dental is charging my card. No one has contacted me nor sent my records as requested to my new dentist yet they are charging me and I have not received any services from them in 6 months. Very poor business practice. Date of transaction: October 1, 2021 Account number: ******** Payments: I paid Aspen a total of $1181.68 for the root canal. This was the amount quoted to me and I was satisfied with this service. However, they continue to bill me for a finished crown at $992.02. However, I was not satified with this service. I wrote them a letter on October 18, 2021, to this effect. I had to go to another dentist to get this service completed and, of course, had to pay the full amount.. Aspen called me once to tell me I had to pay for the crown, even though they could not complete it; they continue to send me bills. Nature of dispute: This is a summary of the letter I sent on October 18, 2021. On October 1, I went to Aspen Dental for the first step in getting a crown on the tooth for which I had a root canal. I spent four-and-one-half hours there and left with the work not done and in pain. Subsequently, I went to another dentist who completed the work in one-and-one-half hours with no pain. During the procedure at Aspen Dental, the dentist nicked ny tongue and a tooth with the drill. The assistant tried to get an impression of my tooth five different times. It was painful and grew more painful with each try. She insisted the instrument wasn't touching my gums but, when I got home, I saw there was an abrasion on my gums. The other dentist used a different instrument and was able to get the impression on one try with no pain. This was the first day for this dentist at the Hadley Aspen office and the first time he worked with this assistant at this office. They did not seem to not know each other's working style as the assistant sometimes had to leave the room to get what he needed and she often took a long time getting things from the drawers in the room. Finally, after four-and-a-half hours, in pain and in tears, I left the office. I can send copies of letters I sent Aspen as well as the most recent bill. I had the letter tracked by USPS.
