I recently had my chimney serviced and a gas log installed by Chimney Chaps/South Shore Fireplace. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They handled both jobs expeditiously and completely. They were neat, clean and efficient. They worked seamlessly with the town fire department, inspector and energy provider. I want to thank all at Chimney Chaps/South Shore Fireplace for providing an excellent product, and the exemplary workmanship in the installation and repair work they performed.I highly recommend Chimney Chaps/South Shore Fireplace for any product or repair service.

************ *************, We recently hired Chimney Chaps to repair our failed **** flues with stainless linings ********* the men ran into some "dead ends" which made the job go longer than intended . without going into all the details all; can say that they took care of everything to the 110%. I am a retired *********/builder so i" Know the trades". On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 12! So go to chimney Chaps for your chimney repairs. We were told by our oil company that the damper on the furnace wasnt working at 100%. We made a call to Chimney Chaps to have an inspection. ************ came out to do the work. He knew it needed a thorough cleaning. Once he completed that, he informed my husband the liner and some of the tiles needed to be replaced. **** left an estimate and we called to make an appointment for the repairs. The two employees who came to do the work were professional, friendly and very neat. They realized a couple more tiles needed to be replaced. They let us know there would be an additional charge to the estimate before they finished up. We will be having them back in the spring to do some brickwork to the exterior of the chimney.The Chimney Chap, Inc. Response

I called and was able to get an appointment 3 business days later. ********** was the technician who did the work. He was very polite and professional. Our chimney hadnt been swept in 3+ years and **** said it was pretty dirty, but that once cleaned, it was in great working order! He recommended another annual cleaning next year to see what kind of build up we get and then go from there. Very positive experience working with The Chimney Chap.The Chimney Chap, Inc. Response

If you need your chimney serviced, Chimney Chap is the company to call. They helped me out of a very bad situation in which I was scammed (I had a leaking chimney). There is a lot more to my story relative to what the scammers did but it is too long to post here. I searched for another company to try and fix what they had done so I reached out to Chimney Chap and ***** was my first contact. She really went above and beyond. To sum it up, I have never received the level of service from any company as I received from Chimney Chap. I was beginning to think my situation was a hopeless cause until ***** the owner came to my house to review the situation and assured me they would be able to solve my problem. The entire staff at Chimney Chap were all very knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful and determined to fix the problem. My chimney had to be rebuilt from the roof line up due to the damage caused by the scammers and it now looks awesome. I highly recommend Chimney Chap and I am now a life- long customer.The Chimney Chap, Inc. Response

The Technicians were fantastic from chimney sweeping, 2 gas stove inserts, masonry work and just piece of mind - this company excels! The office personally were very knowledgeable and helpful to find the 'right'fit for our space! They contacted us before we ever had to contact them for our stove that was on back order - you can't go wrong with a family business like this!Review from Raymond W

The team replaced the flu damper mechanism and the hood at the top of our chimney, as well as cleaning, inspecting and weatherproofing the brick chimney. They were very efficient, very thorough and careful with the plantings in the area around the chimney. I also inspected the inside of the chimney, including the fireplace area, inside our house, and found some structural weakness, which we will also have repaired. The two gentlemen were extremely pleasant and responsive and kept me informed of the work they were doing. I have used The Chimney Chap on an earlier occasion to put a liner in our furnace vent chimney, and the job they did on that project was equally good. They listened to the problem i had. The inspection done by **** was very thorough. He explained everything to me in ****** terms. ****** and ******* performed the work and they were excellent. ***** our pellet stove Tech was awesome. He did a quick and efficient diagnosis of a pellet stove problem and fixed the issue. Definitely recommend to use and plan on having them cleaning and inspecting the pellet stove next fall.
