I paid JMF Landscaping (04/17/2022) a total of $4,000 for the following: (1) to create mulch beds across the front and left side of the house and install 19 plants; (2) to install crushed blue stone along the entire length of the backside of the house and the front and sides of the shed; (3) to aerate & seed all lawn areas / remove clusters of lawn weeds / thatch out bare & thin spots / install screened loam/compost to feather in bare, thin & low spots front and back / apply 50lbs grass seed, starter fertilizer, lime & top dress with peat ****. I was very pleased with the plant beds and crushed blue stone; my complaint is strictly with the lawn treatment. The approximate 8 low areas which they remove weeds, added *********** ****, and sowed grass seed, which yielded a broad leaf weed which dominated those areas. Also, some of those areas were still low or sunken. The treated areas did not blend in with the lawn; they stood out. I informed ****** (Manager /*******) and texted photos. Initially, he told me the weeds should die off; I didn't believe this. The weeds continued to thrive; I contacted ****** again and he came to the property. I mentioned to him the grass seed mix he used must have been tainted with this broad leaf weed; he thought it was from the peat ****. Regardless, the product he used was tainted. I told him I paid for grass, not weeds. He agreed to spray the affected areas; however, it had no impact. He never offered to continue spraying. I asked him to either remove the weeds and reseed or refund me for the materials, including labor, pertaining to just the lawn treatment. He ignored my request; did not reply to my text. Also, regarding the treated areas which were still sunken he mentioned adding more loam at an additional expense; it should have been done correctly initially. There was absolutely no improvement to lawn; his write up for the lawn treatment was misleading - seeking a refund for just the money spent for the lawn treatment.
