C&K installed HDZ shingles and NOT. UHD per our contract . They adjusted the amount due but WE ARE NOT SATISFIED AND ******** (owner ) offered to redo it per contract. We asked if they (to show good *********** shingles on a small pool shed and we will live with this BIG MISTAKE. He refused and said we got what we paid for on our house and we should be happy) Still ongoing conversation regarding this issue However. yesterdays rain storm leaked into ********** wall and floor. and into our fireplace and our ceiling All from the work done by C&K roofing around our chimney We notified him of this and he refuses to do anything until we pay him the last payment of )$3,948 We are elderly and feel we are being taken advantage of. Hello, thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you are having leaks after the big rainstorm we had this week. As previously discussed with the owner, we will gladly take a look and try to resolve the issue. However, we still have an outstanding of $3,948.00. We understand we made a mistake when ordering your materials and credited the difference. ************* you are mentioning is about 500 sqft. This job alone costs $4,200 in labor and materials. The option we discussed was: paying the full balance (before the credits) and we will take care of the pool house and the remedy the leak you are experiencing. We are honest about our work. We have been in business for several years working with customers from all ages and backgrounds. We would like to resolve this issue as swiftly and amicably as possible.Customer response

We are very puzzled by some comments made by C& K We entered into a contract in writing with ******** (owner) on 10/06/23 We were very impressed with his manner and preparation for our meeting and discussed the quality and material etc of UHD versus HD. We agreed to UHD for additional cost of $1668. and we gave him check for 1st payment of $5556 Work began 11/11/23 and 11/12.
Upon completion of cleanup etc we gave them 2nd payment on 11/14. for $5556 then we noticed a very upsetting detaiL .A package of HD SHINGLES was left here and we were very upset I called C&K and they admitted they ordered the wrong shingles and immediately adjusted my contract to reflect the difference of $1668. .BUT THEY also allowed them to be installed on our roof. His comment to us several times was You got what you paid for because he adjusted the bill NO. we did not get per our signed contract ! Initially we discuss roofing our pool house and another shed for $4200 but we declined. Several phone conversations and text and emails Even though we were NOT happy with this big mistake they made , we realize a mistake is a mistake and it would be unreasonable of us to insist he redo our roof. with UHD. but would he be willing (show good faith) to only do pool roof over existing shingles He refused and He has consistently accused us of trying to get something FREE. He also threaten to not honor any warranty , repairs etc as contract until he gets final payment of $3948 We now have a more serious problem Rain came in around chimney into our fireplace, garage wall and floor and onto our family room ceiling. We told him its very important that he address this ASAP because we have electric heat in our ceiling and water is hazardous He refuses to come and inspect and repair an obviously sloppy job of flashing etc around our chimney. Unless we pay the final amount of $3948 he will NOT come and do what needs to be done to stop the water. We are not interested in his company doing our pool house. and have made it known to him that he can redo our roof with proper contracted shingles UHD. in the spring of **** and he can put us on his schedule. We are very disappointed in ******** and thought we had contracted with a reputable person and company *** and ***********************;Business response

As soon as the payment is processed, we will promptly dispatch a crew to inspect and address the issues. The remaining balance is for our labor and materials. We have over 10+ years of experience in the industry, we remain committed to providing quality service, and we look forward to resolving this matter swiftly once the payment is received.
