The vehicle was purchased on Friday 09/08/2023. The dealer Garrett and the mechanic Mikey promised to clean (detail inside the car ) and replace the brakes and the serpentine belt at no cost to me. I appreciate this therefore, I negotiated the price of the car from the original price of $4000.00 to $3800.00. I sent $1000.00 via ***** as a down payment for the car on the same day 09/08/2023.On Monday 09/11/2023, Garrett called me and said that I had to pay an extra $200.00 to cover some of the repairs that he needed to do. This brought the total back up to $4000.00 as the original price of the car. On Friday 09/15/2023, My roommate and I took an **** to *********** and****** Garrett the remaining balance of $3000.000 finalizing the deal. On the same night, Mikey drove the car to my apartment. I noticed some of the things he had promised to fix had not been fixed. I called Garrett to ask him why he hadn't fixed the things he had promised to fix. He instructed me to register the car, get the inspection done and when it failed, he would fix the car. I told him that if the car fails inspection twice, I want my money back. I registered the car at the *** on 09/22/2023 because I couldn't get an earlier appointment. I went for the first inspection on 09/25/2023 which failed. I returned the car on 09/26/2023 to Garrett who said he'd repair it within 3 days. I called and texted Garrett a few times to get a status update without a response. I finally got ahold of Mikey and got the car on 10/09/2023. I went for the second inspection on 10/10/2023 and the car failed again. I called Garrett to explain that the car had failed the inspection again. The inspection mechanic mentioned that the car needs a lot of work and isn't worth the $4000.00 I reminded him that based on our earlier conversation he had to give me my money back. He refused. My friend informed Garrett of ************* Lemon Laws and Consumer Laws and he was dismissive.
