I hired Precision Home Care to repair my roof and replace metal panels. The roof is approximately 300 square feet. It's an extremely small porch roof. I was quoted 4 full days of work with 2 workers. This exceeded my entire roof replacement which was about 800 sq ft by 2 days. I asked for 3 people over 2 days and they agreed. I paid the deposit despite the red flags. The night before the work was supposed to start, I received a call stating they didn't feel the need to send 3 people because the roof was so small. I said the labor charge should be less if it only take 2 ppl 2 days to do the roof. They denied and said I was paying $12.50 per Sq ft and that was the labour charge. On the morning of the first day, I received notification that Precision Home Care will not be coming. It was an overcast day with winds blazing up to a blistering 11mph. They couldn't work in these conditions for "safety reasons." My brother was a roofer for over 30 years. He didn't get days off because it was going to be 11mph winds. I lived by the ocean, believe it or not, roofers worked on houses with wind and rain. BTW, the pitch of my roof is nearly flat, which is why I need metal so snow can be pushed off it easily. Nearly...flat. When I pointed out that several weather sites did not report anything close to poor weather, the office manager called me screaming and swearing, asking if I was "out if my f'ing mind?" I told her not to swear at me and that was unprofessional. She was screaming I wouldn't her my deposit back and still swearing when I disconnected. Contractors are difficult to find but surely there are many far more professional than Precision Home Care. Buyer beware or if you enjoy being treated like an idiot and being sworn at constantly, then definitely go with this company.

This was a difficult customer whom wanted things exactly her way regardless of the safety of the people on her roof. The weather report had potential showers and wind gusts of 25+mph. Any professional wouldn't take the risk of either damaging the interior of a customer's home or having guys up on a roof with 12ft metal panels with that forecast.
We do not scream at customers, nor spew swears.
Materials were purchased with the deposit, then returned and her deposit has been returned in full.
