After three bids, I hired Javiers Landscaping company. I paid to have an old retaining wall replaced with a new old as well as have sod installation my backyard lawn. They laid the sod last week; it is now ***** and dry: it looks like the grass is now dead. Its not just one or two spots. The dried and dying grass is throughout the yard.I shared photos with the owner via text. He said just keep watering lawn, but I do not know if he prepared the soil appropriately. I had another landscaper come by and this person said most likely the soil was not water and prepared prior to laying the sod. This other landscaper told me what he would charge to correct the problem. It would cost me more than I paid to have the sod installed.Ive texted and called to see if they would come out to remedy this problem. I received a text telling me to just water. The total cost for the sod installation was $4375. I thought I would have a lush green lawn, but instead I have dead grass. Additionally, they left a very heavy random retaining wall block in my garden bed, which is too heavy for me to remove. Final issue, while they worked on my yard, they left their tools and other materials used for the retaining wall on my vegetable bed (not in use right now but planning to plant later this summer). Why would they place these items on my raised vegetable bed which could lead to contamination of the soil? By the way, I have photos.
