2/7 Paid $800 for repairs to laundry room due to water damage. Repairs done however wall board not replaced. 2/13 Repair date set but a no show occurred requiring follow up.2/9 Paid $500 to have new carpet pad installed. *** completed however there were lumps in the carpet. I was told that foot traffic would flatten them.2/22 ********************* (Supervisor) promised to come back with one of his people to fix the lumps however I never heard from him again.3/18 I looked up the corporate owner of Shore Water Mgt. and addressed a complaint letter to its President ********* ************************ ************************************************************************** and again received no response.Based on no response and a need to have the existing carpet cleaned and smoothed I decided to have both the carpet and pad replaced over the whole floor by Lowes.When the Lowes installer came he noted that the smoothing of the existing carpet was a 15 minute job and that the pad just installed was installed upside down.Based upon the facts presented I am asking that the $500 I paid for the carpet fix be refunded.I have attached the original proposal showing amounts a payment and letter to corporate. I have retained, on my phone, messages relating to promises made by *********************.Customer response

I executed a contract with *********************/Shore Water Management to install a french drain system in my home and was told that "everything would be put back in place after the installation of the drain". It was implied at the time that this would be included in the price (I have a witness to everything). When I asked for the reconstruction to be added to the contract, I was told that he wouldn't know what would be involved until after the walls were open. The drain system was installed. I was promised several times that crew would arrive to reconstruct my finished basement on various dates and for various lengths of time. This was most inconvenient as I had to make plans to be at home each time. None of those appointments were kept as promised - either the individual didn't show up at all or they left before they were done. I was told it was one day to put the room back in order. However, each of the reconstruction men were in no way qualified to do the work they were sent to do and when I checked on it, I found it to be sub-par - so much so that I asked the latest man (doing the tiling) to leave after his six hours of tiling (when I was told that the tiling would only be a 3 hour job), with still much more to do. The work was poor at best. The work of the man sent to do the carpentry was equally poor. I told ********************* on Saturday, September 17 to remove his materials, tools and not to return. I would have to hire true professionals to return the room to its original state before the drain system was installed. I have had time this week to have two contractors look and each were in agreement that the work was poor and would have to be redone. Given this breach of contract and continued inconvenience of time, I do not expect to pay ************ for phase 2 of this project and expect $500 deposit refund. I do not yet know if phase 1 (drain system) is working. Payment is pending that for two reasons-delivery of the 10 year warranty and receipt of financing.
