I boarded my pup for 5 nights at Special K Kennels May 31 - June 5, 2021. It was difficult to get confirmation of an appointment as I had to leave several messages and never got a call back. They take checks only and gave no paperwork trail which seemed sketchy. I was recommended by a friend so I gave it a try. I was traveling and had my mom pick up the pup on June 5th with a check. They charged $300 (when it was supposed to be $30 x 5 nights = $150). I called them on June 7th to dispute the charge since they charged me double. They said they would void the check and that I should send a new one. They also said they'd send the voided check or image and never did. After 3 weeks of the initial check not getting cashed I assumed it was clear and sent a new check in the amount of $150 for the correct amount. A few days later (June 22) both checks were cashed ($450). I called to reconcile and they said they'd send a money order for $300. Never did and now I can't get ahold of anyone.
