  We hired Duffy Floors to refinish our 110 year old house, with floors that hadn't been redone in 45 years. The job was huge as there was hardwood EVERYWHERE and they did a fantastic, professional job. We love the color and final product and appreciate how communicative they were throughout the huge job, which took 2 weeks. I would happily hire them again.

  I hired Duffy Floors last week to rip up rugs in our largest living room and what will be our son's new nursery -- and I cannot tell you how AMAZING ***** and his team did! They were in and out of my house in 3 days and the floors are GORGEOUS. I am OBSESSED with them. His team was lovely! So professional, kind, hardworking and funny. I am SO grateful I found this business and I am SO grateful for their incredible work.

  We hired Duffy Wood Floors for a project, enticed by their purported family-owned ethos and extensive experience but buyer beware, ********************* is simply an expert salesman. He leads you to believe he is the one carrying out the work; however, day of the project, we discover it has been outsourced to local flooring contractors who barely make eye contact and struggle to communicate with you. The final outcome for 3.5k was far from satisfactory. Debris and bubbles trapped under the polyurethane marred the surface, alongside noticeable HOLES between the wood planks. They sloppily applied finish all over the baseboard. This evident rush job lacked attention to detail, evident in the neglect of basic procedures like using a tack cloth. The workers left on a mini split fan despite me asking whether it should be turned off -- they said "no, it will help with the drying". Lo and behold, it actually just spread debris everywhere. Subsequent attempts to rectify the situation necessitated additional time, as they had to come back to address the flaws, including filling the holes in the ***** NEW WOOD with wood filler. The results were subpar and did not justify the high cost, especially considering the modest size of the room. While I anticipate a less than professional response from ***** to this review (as I've seen his responses to other legitimate negative reviews) I feel compelled to warn others about our disappointing experience with Duffy Wood Floors. As such, I strongly advise exploring alternative options for your wood flooring needs. Personally, I am redirecting my upcoming projects to a different contractor in Medford, steering clear of Duffy Flooring due to their unsatisfactory performance.

  We understand the importance of clear communication which I feel was lacking on both of our parts during the course of the job. We did not have clear guidance from you on stain color and finish sheen from our samples, as you wanted us to match the new rift red oak flooring to the existing antique heart pine floors which is very difficult. I believe that in the end our attempt was fairly close in color and tone. You did call and sent pictures of some areas of the finish bubbling and some board defects that needed filling. We addressed your concerns immediately upon learning of these areas, back in early November. After numerous calls and emails, I received no response from you about your satisfaction of the work performed. We still had a balance due on the project which you neglected to address until late February.

  ***** and *** from Duffy Floors were professional, knowledgeable and produced a great result. 20 year old red oak floors with water damage in an area that we wanted to try to match to another un-damaged area so we wouldn't have to do the whole space. The team assessed the job, gave great advice and the results are impressive - its a very close match and I would say that only someone really looking close could ever tell the difference. On time, kept to a tight schedule and left no mess. Exceeded our expectations. Would 100% hire these guys again.

  My wife and I hired Duffy Floors to refinish our kitchen/family room (25 year old flooring) and our foyer in a 110 home. The foyer area was original and had very little wood left and some tape-removal scars that we wanted removed and have the foyer refinished also, so they had to be careful to not go very deep in the sanding process. We were leaving for the week and were concerned about the process and the quality. But *****************, from Duffy Floors, kept us informed while we were away via texted photos and discussions; so we were feeling pretty confident from a distance that the job was getting done well, thanks to ***'s updating us with his texts. But when we retuned from our trip last evening and walked into the house, we were even more pleased! The job ***'s crew did was absolutely perfect, beyond out expectations, both in terms of the workmanship of the sanding/and polyurethane and the very little dust residue left behind.We cannot recommend them highly enough. Great job, five star all the way.

  Wood floor looks beautiful! Owner, ********************* accommodated my schedule on very short notice. ***** sanded and stained my kitchen floor. The selection of color was perfect and ***** taped plastic on walls which made for a very easy cleanup
