Incompetence and Mismanagement from Homeworks Energy ?On July 28th, I requested a diagnostic for a mini-split unit not blowing cold air. A technician arrived over an hour late and determined a fuse on the motherboard was burnt out. I was told the office would call with a labor quote and part ***, but days passed with no communication.?I repeatedly called Homeworks Energy, but no one could provide a status update. I was bounced between representatives, given conflicting information, and told the parts manager wasn't available. A quote I received on July 31st had two different prices, and no one could clarify which I was supposed to pay.?On August 4th, I was told the process couldn't proceed until I paid a deposit for the labor on a warrantied part. I agreed to pay the full amount, but the promised updates never came. After multiple calls, a technician was dispatched on August 8th, arriving late with the wrong part.?The cycle of misinformation continued. I was told the correct part was ordered, but no one could provide tracking. I made multiple calls on August 11th and again on August 14th, only to be told the part hadn't arrived.?Despite receiving an email that a technician was en route, I left work early and was then told, without remorse, that the wrong part had been sent again. This entire process, which began on July 28th, has been a masterclass in incompetence and a complete failure of communication. My payment for labor has been sitting with Homeworks since August 5th, with no resolution in sight. The lack of accountability and disregard for my time is unacceptable.

Homeworks services my wall mounted heat pump units annually. Within the past year they recommended a significantly more expensive cleaning. I agreed to this and paid them directly. In the past month, the living room wall unit leaked water onto my wall to wall rug and desk. I had to have ServePro remove part of the rug, cut out part of the subflooring and replace it. The cost was $ 1120. The Homeworks technician that came out to repair the unit felt the service was not done correctly for the amount of money I paid them. I am a 90% disabled vet. I have called Homeworks on 3 occasions and was told a supervisor would respond to me. At the time of my calls I was told they were in meetings. s

I feel like this is some kind of racket. We are stuck with Homeworks Energy as Mass Save contracted them to move our heat over to heat pumps and mini-splits. After 14 months, my system stopped working. I called for repairs. I had to pay $150 for them to come out. They came out and diagnosed the heat pump as dysfunctional. Then they said it would be $180 for the visit. I said I'd already paid $150 and was told that was simply the dispatch fee. The new heat pump was free, as it was under warrantee, but they charge a flat $2,400 for installation. I had to pay half that day and 2 weeks later, they arrived, replaced the heat pump in under 2 hours, and I had to pay the rest. $2,400 for 2 hours of work! He told me they charge a flat rate to be fair... he could have been here 10 hours and it would still be $2,400. Unbelievable.

HomeWorks Energy is completely incompetent. They installed 5 heat pumps at my home in July, never finished the installation, so the pumps are not integrated with my boiler, even though it is now December. They bounce all problems to subcontractors, and are in serious need of operations leadership. Possibly headed for a lawsuit with them and in the meantime, I encourage any readers to look elsewhere.

HomeWorks visited my house 2 weeks ago. When they left for the day, it was with the promise to return the next day to finish the job. They have yet to return. I have called the HomeWorks office, emailed, text messaged and completed a survey. Still no response from HomeWorks. I cannot recommend a company that does not keep their word and has terrible customer service in regards follow up.

I give this company **********. They absolutely have zero communication skills. They dont care for peoples time wasted on waiting for them to show up. I have called numerous times to this company during and after my install just to only get hung up on. I also communicate in emails which never get responded to. They failed to submit my rebate application causing a delay and its still not processed. I dont have the right number information and paperwork to get my rebate submitted. They should not be a credited company for Mass Save. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and working with us to resolve the issue quickly.  We try very hard to simplify a very complex process and sometimes what appears to be a clerical error results in an experience like yours.  We're working with our teams on systems to reducing these types of errors in the future.

If I could give zero stars to HomeWorks Energy I would. I had a terrible experience working with them and if I could go back I would never have hired them. They installed mini splits in my home in September 2022. They were supposed to come in 2023 for the free maintenance service and I called to schedule it, they never showed up TWICE. Now we are in 2024 and the mini splits stopped working and when the tech came out he said this issue could have been avoided had the maintenance been done. The office quoted me $1800 to repair it and when I called to complain the person on the line said you should have scheduled the maintenance. I feel as though they did not want to come for the free service because it was free. This is unprofessional and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I now have no heat and refuse to give them any more of my money and have to hire someone else to fix their terrible work. I am shocked they have an A+ rating on here and it makes me question BBBs ratings altogether. I feel scammed.

This companys HES program is solely based on Fraudulent activities. They use a miniapolis blower door test which has been proven in other states to be very easy to manipulate, and half of the states in the west have actually banned HES companies from using the miniapolis BD test because of the fraudulent activities increase. I know this first hand because I reported fraudulent activity to my supervisor and I was met with retaliation and also did not receive my last paycheck. Theres also a class action suit against this company following wage theft on their employees, which I will now be participating in.

I wish i could give this company 0 stars. We updated our system a little over 1 year ago with them, and every couple of months they have to come to our home, because the system is not working. Today was 80 outside, and in my house with the ** on, its 77. Every change of season, we have to call them because nothing works. Not to mention that the people they sent seem to barely know what they are doing. Working with this company was the worst decision we made.Since the beginning with the mess they made to install everything, to the settings in the system being wrong (which they had to come to our home 4 different times to figure it out), to the astronomically high electricity bill we get now, to the actual system never working properly, this company and their products are a disaster.

Hello *******.  I'm very sorry to hear about this and we want to help resolve this for you.  I see that you also posted the same message on our ****** reviews page and that one of our managers responded to you.  Can you provide the full name and address of where the work was done?  We're not able to locate any account under your name or by searching the email address "**********************".  Thank you.

This company is shady. they use the Mass Save energy audit as a way to get into your house and the try to up sell you in things that you do not need. The purpose of mass save is to help homeowners get a more efficient home at an incredible discount yet that try and upsell you on things that are way overpriced and unneeded. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Hello *****.  We're very sorry to hear that you feel that way.  I see that we did some work for you a little over a year ago in April 2023, but I don't see that you reported any problems at the time.  Can you share what problems you had so we can look into this for you?
