They are horrible. I went in there looking to trade my car in because I financed it from them and my engine was about to blow and instead of them helping me they drastically dropped my credit score and told me to either come up with 6000 dollars or ask my family for it. I went to another dealer and got a brand new car. Empire **** is all about money and not helping people. I will never go there again. They told me even if I went elsewhere to try and buy a car I couldn't.Review from Peter F

they don't know how to service vehicles! I needed repair work done and it cost me $3000. I went to pick up my car and as I drove off the lot my car was still broken and there was absolutely no difference than when I first brought it. The are scammers!!!!Review from Desiree V

If I **uld give them a negative star I would. Shadiest car dealership I have ever dealt with. Would never re**mmend to even my worst enemy. Bought a car from them on 6/29/24 and I ******* had an issue driving out of the parking lot. The rear view mirror casing was dangling off. Walked back in and the sales guy brought it into to service and said it was fixed. Left the parking lot and it fell again. They put doubled sided tape on it. Brought it back and the said they would order a new one. Left again and about an hour later I had to back the car up and it started bucking. Possible issue with the transmission. No way they didn't know about it. Talked to them Monday and said they would look at it when I came to pickup my registrants to get my sticker. today is 7/10 and the still haven't regismy car and I haven't been able to drive it because it is not legal. They won't respond to my calls or emails. **** be filing a **mplaint and ** tasting a lawyerReview from Jacquelyn M

I bought a used 2017 **** fusion with ****** for ****** on the 19th of August...The day I drove of the lot the engine light came on. The vehicle hardly wanted to turn over and was blowing thick white smoke out of the exhaust. The radio was also glitching. When I brought it back to them on 21st(2 days later) I was told it would be more then a reset in radio and prob needed a new computer and that cylinder 2 was misfiring due to a large issue with these motors(found out after I bought it, that they had roughly seen multiple sane vehicles for same issue over last couple months. I was left without a vehicle for 9 days with 2 jobs as a teacher and a spa owner I need a vehicle. I asked for my trade in back and for then to buy car back but my car was already sold at an auction. The vehicle has been there for 28 days and I'm responsible for a car payment on a vehicle I do not have! There communication on lemon law and what is going on has been horrible. Parts are on back order was what I was told first then I heard they were waiting on funding for repairs?! I am in the process of filing lemon law arbitrary application on a used vehicle. However, I am unable to file for assistance with this nightmare because as of today I was told they still haven't gone to the registry to register my car. This is supposed to be dome in 7 days...it's now day 28...?!! I'm stuck like a rock in a hard place *** would love resolution. My credit has taken a hit from hard Inquiry to buy this vehicle and kind of nervous to ever go to another dealership. I lost money in the mean while finding r8des on my own when all I wanted was a reliable car sold by a trust worthy delearship..This is very unfortunate and I don't like to complain but enough is enough! Please help!Review from Carol R.

I left our **** with Empire in New Bedford for a recall on a Sunday evening so they could begin work early at their convenience. They completed the job and when my husband went to pick up the car, a part of his driver door handle had been removed. When he reported this to service, they denied that it happened on their property. It did. I followed up by phone and the service manager denied again( was very difficult to get him to answer phone btw) and informed me he had to go over security camera footage. I called again and he hadnt finished watching. A week later, I followed up and he said it didnt happen and hed send me footage. He never sent. ****** 1: their parking lot not secure. ****** 2: The manager is a liar. Why didnt he send footage? Why did he evade calls? *** left my car on many occasions at other reputable places and NOTHING like this has happened. Not even a coin missing from a cup holder. Stay away from this dealer and service place if you want your car in tact.Review from SHARON P

Leased a vehicle from this dealership in 2020. Returned to buy out lease with my payout figure from **** Finance. The dealership wanted to charge me over THOUSANDS over lease payout figure. I argued that this wasn't my figure and they insisted they could charge what they wanted and their hands were tied. I understood the charges for taxes, registration, title etc. were not include in purchase price of vehicle. I talked them down and then went home and made some phone calls to **** Finance. Buyout of lease was the figure quoted from ****. Empire wants to charge you to re-register your car, and turn in your plates, (the plate charge was $65 but is only $60 at registry). Then they are stating you need a used car lemon law warranty, this is not true unless they are buying the car from you and then selling it back. This is exactly what they are doing and trying to fleece you out of money instead of doing the paperwork as a reputable company and facilitating the lease buy out. This dealership is fraudulently trying to re-sell you your lease vehicle and try to confuse you with the double talk. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from Empire **** New Bedford, ******** dealership can complete the paperwork for you and will not charge more than the payout figure of your lease. You will need to pay taxes, title, registration etc but the price on your Purchase agreement should match the price received from **** Finance NOT A MADE UP AMOUNT THAT EMPIRE WANTS TO CHARGEReview from Jodi S.

Had transmission troubles three separate times on a **** Fiesta bought in 2015 new. Fixed two times prior while waiting all day and losing pay sitting in a car repair shop. Refused to give a day rental. Third time they couldnt get the part from ***** so they told me it could take up to a year. So I dropped my car at the shop and demanded a rental. They used EVERY excuse in the book while I was borrowing a vehicle from family. They used every lie in the book car shortage, cant find a rental you must only get another **** to rent no other manufacturers. **** policy I was told! It wasnt until I threatened to expose them outside with signs they agreed to pay for a rental (tried to get me to pay with the promise of a refund but wouldnt sign anything). Finally had a rental they agreed to pay for. Well when the rental was returned and my car fixed hertz later deducted two separate payments out of my account (which they had on file in case I stole the car or sent it back on an empty tank) one over $700 and the second over $2000!!!! Called ***** who stated that **** hasnt paid ANY the customers bills and now they are going into the accounts and taking what they are owed. Called **** spoke to ************************* who said **** doesnt agree with the amounts and will not pay anything u til its straightened out. Well the h*** with the customers ****! Way to go ****. Then ************ chimed in saying when I bought the car in 2015 it wasnt called Empire **** anymore. Told him whats the difference name changed still owned by the same owner. ****** family. Now I am waiting for my day in small claims court. Shame I have to push it this far to get them to do what they promised. I have it all in writing.Review from Pearlie D.

Corrupt dealership. Was sold a defective vehicle with a host of mechanical problems. *************************** was my salesman. The car was also sold to me with an undisclosed lein on it whereby I had to drive around with dealer plates on for nearly a month. The finance manager refused to give me back my car that I deeply regret trading in. They are all dishonest and corrupt. Please stay far away from this dealership. Buyer beware and don't go there!
