Went down to Automan Sam on Feb.5th and paid $125 for him to install a brand new stereo to our sons van. Made the appointment for Feb.6th at 8:00 to get it installed and less than an hour he installed it. The radio did not work so I asked him if it was a fuse,he said I would have to evaluate it and that would be another $90. I said you cant just check it to see if it is a fuse and he replied again. That is an evaluation and it will be $90. So we left and could not believe that he did not do the job we paid for.

The customer stop in, in the beginning of Feb. and asked about installed his radio. I told him that there's a $25 deposit that will go towards the invoice to confirm the appointment. On Feb. 3rd he stopped back in to make the appointment and paid the whole invoice ($125) for Feb. 6th at 8am via CC. On Feb. 3rd at 8am he came in for his appointment, I drove the vehicle in the bay and noticed the original radio wasn't on, I proceeded with installing his new radio. After the install was complete, the new radio wasn't powering on either. I then told the customer that the new radio isn't working and said that the original radio wasn't on when it was pulled into the shop.

The customer failed to mention that there original radio in the **** Dodge Caravan didn't work. He must have assumed it was the radio so he bought a new radio elsewhere thinking it would fix the issue. I offered to diagnose it for our default rate of $90. He said he didn't have the funds right now but would be back when he does; asked if it could be a fuse and I said its possible, He then asked if I could check to see what the issue is but that would fall under a diagnostic charge that he clearly stated he couldn't do at this time. I offered to put the original radio back in but he wanted to leave the new radio in and said he'll be back when he has the funds. A couple of hours later, I get this email from BBB.
