I had a car loan that I just closed out with ****. I paid the remaining amount in full in January of 2025. Just last week (March 2025) I found out that they submitted late payments to my credit report because they didn't close out my account when I paid in full. When I called they bank, they mentioned it was a mistake and I didn't owe anything, but they still submitted the late payment to my credit report which significantly dropped my score. This bank is incredibly unorganized and seems poorly run.Business Response

I have had 6 problems with fraud happening in my card in the last couple years. I am now sitting here waiting in a debit card I was originally told would be milled over night never happened. Then I was told 3-5 days again never happened. I am a single parent and can not make pay any bills because the only way for me to is with the debt card. Do I am now getting hit with late fees because of this. At this point the bank should have to pay the late fees. They take no responsibility on what is happening and refuse to address the issues.Business Response

I went to Merrimack Credit Union to obtain an Auto loan. I have been dealing with ******* ********. We have repeatedly had to ask Her to please respond to us as she does not communicate. Its been a month since we started the process. Our insurance agent has been trying to contact her, Ive been trying to contact her, asking to speak to a manager which to date I still have not spoken to. She does not know where the title to my vehicle is. She thinks in *********. Ive called Brookline twice with still no answers. The insurance binder is now expiring and I have no answers on the title and therefore cant register the vehicle. All I need is the original Title so I can register my vehicle.Business Response

In September I'd set up automatic payments to come out of my bank account at discover to pay for my loan. I was not advised on the website that my ************* was not part of an agreement that they could withdraw from. So it's been impossible for me to make payments on my car loan because they won't take money from a valid bank that I have. I have tried doing wire transfers and they've given me wrong information multiple times leading to my car being impounded and having several days of impound fees charged. Their lack of direct communication also led to me not knowing that this wasn't being drafted out and my car getting impounded. Since I found out at 9:00 at night Wednesday December 13th I've been trying to make payments. It is physically impossible to get over $3,000 in cash from any bank right now. They refused to take an ACH and have returned wires I have sent to them. At this point I have no ability to pay them apart from pulling out $500 in cash everyday and then handing it to them leading to $100 lot fee on top of the fees I already have. This loan was given to me in a predatory manner as well. I desperately needed to refinance my loan so I could register my car in a state that required a title in physical hand. New Hampshire did not recognize that and so I had to refinance to get a hold of my physical title. I never saw what my monthly payment was, I never saw what the percentage of the interest was, and I signed blankly because it was the only option I was given. After 9 months of not having a car I was very much cornered. It seems absolutely ridiculous that they can't accept money from other banks just because they refuse to have a contract with them. The only except **** and ******************* You can't even use a MasterCard so I can't even put money in venmo and have them charge that. This is the most impossible bank to pay a loan on. At this point I'm about ready to say keep my car because They literally won't take my money. I'm beginning to feel they just want my car. It seems like a really unfair business practice. And because of the damage they've done to my credit I now can't open another banking account to even attempt to transfer through some other means. They have bent me over a barrel and tied my hands and legs.Business Response
